My beautiful pittbull!

On the headland about 10m above St Peter's church there are two sets of rock-cut tombs or graves. They probably date from the 10th century. Each grave is cut out of the sandstone.

A set of six of these, two straight-sided and four body-shaped all with socket holes at the top where a wooden cross would have been placed. Two more rock-cut graves can be seen close by. The graves are often filled with rain water.

In 1970 a cemetery to the S of this site was excavated and 85 sets of bones were found and dated to the 10th-11th century. The rock cut graves are grade 1 listed and a Scheduled Ancient Monument.

Star Wars: The last Cut Out

And here’s the long-awaited Star Wars Revisited fan Edition. Emily goes to work and finds an enormous black hole in the newspaper. In the beginning she suspected the newspaper editor but then after she thought for 8 hours movie runtime, she arrived at the solution: she blamed a meteorite fallen from space. And this is the reason behind Emily’s revenge. She threw a big stone (played by Harrison Ford) into the stratosphere. A long love story starts between the stone and the Galaxy (played by Carrie Fisher) with an unexpected happy ending (played by Prozac).

Panther Beach, Davenport California

Finally a late spring / early summer storm makes it's way over N. California....

Once I parked and made my way down the creek trail, I made my way through the "hole in the wall" . I could see there was someone down at the south end of the beach with a tripod standing in the surf. I had a feeling it was my contact Jim Patterson .

The surf was very interesting..... It looked to be very calm about 100 yards off shore but the waves that were crashing down on the beach were giant! (giant for me) So as I walked up to the area where Jim was, I noticed a few things. First, the area where I was planning on setting up was getting hammered by the pounding surf and the other was a small 1-2 ft ridge that had been cut into the sand. I liked the way the waves would come up and over this little ridge but I wanted to wait until the light was low.

Here is one of my first images from the evening. I decided to show a different view than Jim's..... Not all that colorful but I think the water movement makes up for it. I am sure as the clear summer days get longer and longer, I will post some facing the other direction, but for now its this......

Good to meet up with you again Jim.......

"Boatman 2" is a photo from a series documenting the boatmen along the Ganges River in holy city of Allahabad (now called Prayagraj), India. This boatman waits to take visitors to the confluence of the Ganges and Yamuna Rivers. This photo didn't make the cut for my upcoming exhibit FACES OF INDIA, but I'm happy to share it here. Dang, the WC was a cool railroad! They had a Fond du Lac to Milwaukee (CP) turn that took the WC to Duplainville then the CP down to Muskego Yard through the plant at Cut Off. Cut Off was where the passenger mains split to go downtown in the shadows of the Milwaukee Shops and the Falk Corp factory. Multiple overpasses in the area made it easy for views of the junction.

On the annual Rasmussen family trip to Milwaukee we had seen the eastbound version roll through Wauwatosa and had ourselves at Cujt Off for the return trip. Light engines might have been a bit of a disappointment, but the big F45 made up for it!

It's Snyder Cut day people! Have you seen the film yet? Did you enjoy it? No spoilers please for those who haven't seen it yet!

Also, follow me on Instagram! This is most likely my last post here on Flickr seeing how I haven't posted in a year. I'm way more active on IG anyway.

Wool felt doll. Emily is affectionate and romantic, loves hugs and a bit of bedtime reading, and definitely has a sweet tooth! She’s entirely made in wool felt, with machine stitched body, and hand sewn details.

On a cold and rainy fall afternoon, CP 7003 speeds train 492 southbound towards Minneapolis with a CSX motor assisting. While not the first time I’ve run into the 7003 as I caught 7000-7003 while passing through Chicago on their way to Canadian Pacific for activation in Iowa, this happened to be the first SD70ACU I managed to snag one of these rebuilds as the leading engine.

The branches and leaves on this beautiful old tree used to reach the ground and made a marvellous shelter during brief rain showers. For some wicked reason the lower branches were lopped off early this year by the park management team much to the disgust of my fellow dogwalkers and others.
