Danger Den TDX copper base block for the CPU and a DD Maze 4 for the GPU were used.
I would have preferred the silver base versions but I was well over budget by now..
The optical drive bays had a custom cut acrylic overlay as did much of the front face.
These were laser cut and then engraved to my specification.
You can see behind a smearing of Araldite which I used to hold them on which in hind sight was a bad idea as it shew through the front, sadly it was too late at this point and I just had to put up with that.
2 x SATA Plextor DVD/RW drives were the optical drives of choice and at the time just about the best thing out there. The eject buttons relied purely on the flexibility of the acrylic to activate them which I thought was a nice touch. Another small oversight here, you may notice the emergency tray release holes were not available for use which was a real pain if you needed them as the front of the case had to come off first!

AMD switched to the LGA (Land Grid Array) socket with its AM5 platform to accommodate the increased performance demands of modern CPUs, which require more pins for faster data transfer and higher power delivery. This is because LGA sockets allow for a higher pin density in a smaller space, making them more suitable for the growing number of connections on modern processors compared to AMD's previous PGA (Pin Grid Array) system where pins were on the CPU itself.

The main ATX switch and reset switches were actually racing style ignition switches in stainless steel. Steel bezels also for the activity LED's and BZP m6 cap screws were everywhere, all adding to the industrial feel.

This build doesn't really have a definite front or back, it depends on how you configure the fingers.
Here the CPU cooler bulge it's one of the big parts crafted from recovered aluminium scraps, it took a while to smooth it out but it was worth it.
There is also the 200mm Cooler Master MasterFan doing it's job, the Energon 650W PSU and the silverstone technology sleeved cables are also visible through the acrylic side.
Beside the sleeved cables you can get a glimpse of the Arctic esports one 33 CPU cooler but being black it is very discreet.
They are my duo for the #CMWS20, it took a lot of work but I love 'em.
