All cut out, now it's time to clean up the edges. I used the chisel and the sanding bit on the Dremel to clean up the rough edges. Then I used sand paper to smooth out the rest of it. Next step, staining.
For Ciriana's going away party on Thursday, I wanted to give her something that would remind her of all the places we've been to and all the tings we've done becuase of the Army. This Challenge Coin Display is pretty basic. It's made out of thin plywood. The shelves are pine, I think. It took me about 4 days from concept to fabrication, or about one day straight. I'll have a write up on it tomorrow evening.

I wanted to use a scroll saw, but we don't have one. We bought that bit just the other day which made the Dremel a pretty good substitute.

I ended up cutting it using a chisel. I just hammered my way down the line on both sides and it just snapped in two like it was supposed to!
