This was my favorite part of this project. My friend, designer/artist Robert Stel gave me a print out of a greek painting of two fish. That inspired this design. I just wanted subtle implication of atmosphere around them as the gate structure. Looked good on paper and I was very pleased with how it came out.
I am building a costume for a friend for Halloween. He is an Iraqi and wants to be a Babylonian king for Halloween. No problem. I did the research and then came up with a workable sketch.

These invitations were gold foil stamped, inserted in a gold metallic panel pocket and had similar gold design elements printed on corresponding suite cards.
