This customer is a famous radio presenter who loves this car and has kept it in immaculate condition. They wanted the right company who could build her an excellent exhaust without the boy racer sound. A colleague recommended coming to see us.
He had heard many exhausts where some exhaust shops have removed all silencers and built a straight pipe exhaust, and all you get is harsh noise and not enjoyable sound. We are probably the only company to have straight through exhaust silencers. With the fully welded and two-stage acoustic packaging, you get a beautiful deep, enjoyable tone while delivering maximum performance with no sound degradation.

Here we our Dynamic Duo, Batman and Robin. Batman is from the Bat-ski poly bag and practically unmodified (though I will probably use a different suit later when I get the time and pieces), so there is not much to say about him except he does sport the newer mold.
Robin, on the other hand, his my own design, which was inspired by the darker interpretations of the Dark Knight. The material for the cape is from a cheap Darth Vader glove lines in red vinyl. The torso is the original from the 2008 Batcave set. The legs and arms are generic, yet they look nicely. The hood is also ordinary, but he has an alternative hair piece. The face is from a previous experiment, (when I attempted to make the Tenth Doctor's face by removing the stubble from an Indiana Jones head) which when added a the custom paper mask, makes a pretty good Robin face.

7 speed Shimano 12-28 cassette, Shimano XT very early 1990s short arm rear mech. Original 1990s Campagnolo Centaur triple chainset 46/36/26. Original Campag Centaur bottom bracket. Original Campagnolo 1990s Centaur (MTB) front mech. Original Dia Compe 982 wide arm cantilevers (old style 65mm boss centres). Original Campagnolo Chorus headset. NOS Shimano 7 speed bar XT thumbshifters. New Shimano BR-L550 brake levers for calipers and canti's using 22.2mm bars. NOS 3TTT 130mm stem. 2nd hand riser bars, slightly cut down. Ergon grips. 1995 Campagnolo RECORD seatpost. Brooks B17 saddle which I cut down as shown. Jim Blackburn Custom rear rack and modern Carradice small Super C panniers. SKS mudguards.

It is always great talking to customers who have a vision, and we love going through all options so that customers can make the right decision for their vehicle. In this way, the customer wanted a mandrel-bent cat-back exhaust. An X-pipe was fitted to improve the vehicle's power and performance. With a selection of over 140 different silencers, we were able to select the right ones to give the sound he desired. These SL500's from the factory have a muted sound, and by building a new cat-back, we were able to improve the sound with a nice burble when idling, not too much in your face when cruising but put your foot down, you know you have one powerful engine under the hood. The customer was over the moon and couldn't believe how we made it sound so good.

BMW 335D X Drive M Sport 2017 Custom Exhaust by Profusion Customs. For this customer, it was all about aesthetics. He wanted to give his diesel BMW a more desirable look. So we removed the rear silencer, as it didn’t make much difference to the sound. The customer supplied the diffuser and built the rear section using a mandrel-bent 304-grade stainless steel tube.

Range Rover Sport HSE V6 2017. This vehicle had a standard restrictive exhaust system, but there was no sound from the exhaust, making it a boring drive.
We built a complete cat-back exhaust with an X-Pipe to improve the performance. We tested it for sound by trying several silencers to get to the perfect combination. The customer now has an exhaust built for life, improved performance, a deep tone that is not too loud and finished off with beautiful tailpipes.

Bristol 2000 Custom Exhaust by Profusion Customs. This Bristol car, which is is impeccable condition was sent to us by a Bristol car specialist who has been working on Bristol cars for many years and set up his own shop. The owner of the Bristol trusts his workmanship and after speaking to a few exhaust shops, it became apparent that Profusion were the only company to have the right silencers and the skills to build the exhaust.
The original system was in terrible condition, it was a mish mash of stainless steel boxes and mild steel pipes. The combination created huge restrictions. We build the complete exhaust with a silencer in the middle which houses an X-pipe to merge the gasses and create a scavaging affect which increases the power. A manifold back mandrel exhaust system was built. The customers requirements for sound were to keep it sensible but would like to hear the V8 engine. finished it off with turndown tailpipes.

In this way, the customer wanted a mandrel-bent cat-back exhaust. An X-pipe was fitted to improve the vehicle's power and performance. With a selection of over 140 different silencers, we were able to select the right ones to give the sound he desired. These SL500's from the factory have a muted sound, and by building a new cat-back, we were able to improve the sound with a nice burble when idling, not too much in your face when cruising but put your foot down, you know you have one powerful engine under the hood. The customer was over the moon and couldn't believe how we made it sound so good.
