I made this dress for a custom order. I've never worked from a picture in this way before, and it was so much fun to do ^_^

I hope its new owner likes it :)

I've always wondered what my custom LEGO train kits would look like as a "proper" retail product.

I've been selling instructions for these custom kits for a couple of years online at my website brickdimensions.com. Inevitably, I am often asked "how much does it cost with the bricks?" or "can you sell me the bricks?" etc. I've been reluctant to sell these models as complete kits with the bricks, stickers, etc. due to the labour involved and low volume. However, someone did persist with a substantial offer to buy several kits and I decided to give it a try.

This gave me the opportunity to go through process and identify the true impact on time and energy required to fulfill an order. I spent some time automating the Bill of Materials consolidation, fetching pricing, and making Bricklink orders and developed a set of Google sheets with custom scripts to help me with future procurement.

Having gone through the process, it does take more time than I would have liked. However, the lessons learned from this experience should make future kit-ups much faster.

As much as I would like there to be a market for custom LEGO train kits, I am not convinced that it is big enough to make commercial sense. I would love to be proven wrong--but at least I had fun "prototyping" what such a product offering would look like!

#92 - Full Custom with teeth and mohair skin

Doll Base: SBL

{Found Love / Adotada}

I have no words to express how awesome this looks! Clayface is my favorite villain and I thought it was time to make a better one! For those of you who guessed Clay Face, you were correct! I gave Clay Face a kind of clay like look with the spray paint that I used. Overall I'd give this guy a 10/10! I'm very proud of myself!

I made this for a friend recently. It started out as a 12" Ariel doll from the Disney Store, then got a full hair reroot and a brand new dress, fully blinged out with pink rhinestones!

I've done some customizing again! This here eager little beaver is Wendy! This one I made already a couple of weeks ago, but didn't have time to photograph her before now. I wanted to try to make a properly wide smile with loads of teeth. :)

Commission girl traveling to the UK

'49 Ford mild custom.

The car was photo'd at the Back to the Fifties car show then "reparked" at a spot near the edge of town.

Made a fender stay to mount a Supernova taillight off of. Little bit of machining, little bit of welding, little bit of finish work. Made out of stainless steel so it won't rust too much. Kinda love how low profile these taillights are. Just wish it came with some kind of decent fender mount, so I wouldn't feel so compelled to make one every time I put one on a bike. www.bantambicycles.com

This girl loves cute cactuses, succulents and all things kawaii! Her base doll is Prima Dolly Amaryllis and she will be living in China! I hope you love her!

This is Jo, my custom Beach Rodeo Momoko, one of the latest girls in my Momoko gang!

She's wearing her default outfit except for the lovely winter scarf (I didn't want her to get cold in the chilly air, though I wish the snow hadn't melted). I think it suits the outfit and her new hair well! Once the original hair was removed I picked a cute and fluffy fur wig for her in a beige/camel color. Love the ponytails!

It's such a sweet look for her that I'm hoping to customize another Momoko one day and put her in a furry wig, too. I'm also thinking of mohair because I like the soft texture and fluffiness. :) It works great on some dolls and not so much on others. I think fur at least looks wonderful on Momoko, especially if she's tan-skinned. Light hair against dark skin = ♥ It reminds me of kogals with their tanned skin and bleached hair.

Beach Rodeo is one of those Momokos whose outfit I like very much. The short top, tight vest, super long skirt with cowboy belt, golden loop bracelets and brown cowboy boots all look great! The "downside" in my eyes is the default hair; the big brown bun on top of her head isn't as interesting a hairdo as it could be and the hair can't be worn loose. You're stuck with the burn forever. *laugh* Hence why I got rid of it as soon as I received the doll. :) She was always meant to be customized and I'm very happy with her new look!
