National Village Museum "Dimitrie Gusti" is the name assigned by the Government Decision no. 742/2003, art. 18 letters. institution named after the Village Museum , a creation of folklorist and sociologist Dimitrie Gusti . The museum was inaugurated on May 10, 1936, in the presence of King Carol II of Romania , and to the public on May 17, 1936, [2] is currently one of the biggest tourist attractions of Bucharest .
Site plans were made by the writer, playwright, director and production designer Victor Ion Popa , and the necessary financial funds were made available by the Royal Cultural Foundation.
