It's been over a month since I have journaled. Oops/
Today as part of a conversation after yoga class between some of the women, I was treated to one of the best compliments I have received in a while:
Woman 1: "Men are like busses: there's another one every 20 minutes."
Woman 2: "Well Gregory here isn't a bus."
Dude, I'm not a bus. That's a great way to end this year!
♪Dear Sir or Madam, will you read my book?
It took me years to write, will you take a look?

Call me crazy but I just spent three evenings reading and writing part of George Washington's Farewell Address in 1796.
I said to myself - I finished Harry Potter series, I can go through this. 😂

Seriously, it is like reading a prophecy.
Or maybe we have never ever changed.
Maybe a history is always repeating itself.
So many words and phrases I like from this six or seven-thousand-word address.
"...the sweet enjoyment of partaking, in the midst of my fellow-citizens, the benign influence of good laws under a free government, the ever-favorite object of my heart."
The ending shows such a great love for a country.
Less than a week until Election Day here in the US.
And I think I am done writing cursive this year. 😂 (Special thanks to my grade school - making all of us writing cursive for a whole year or two.)
