Currywurst preparation at the famous Curry 36: pierced sausages (come in breaded or unbreaded variety), curry-laced ketchup, and lots of curry powder. I'm not opposed to some good greasy food, but I didn't fall in love with currywurst.

This has to be one of the most popular dishes in Germany. Bratwurst with curry ketchup and french fries. The curry ketchup is pretty good too. You have to try it at least once when you go to Germany.

Currywurst is a quickly-made dish of German origin consisting of steamed pork sausage cut into slices and seasoned with warm curry ketchup, regularly consisting of ketchup or tomato paste blended with generous amounts of curry powder, or a ready-made ketchup-based sauce seasoned with curry and other spices. It is frequently served at German 'Imbißbude' and from food trucks.

The currywurst was invented in Berlin.

Organic currywurst. Tasty, anyway. Nice chips too.

Alom bekend en niet te missen: de Currywurst! Deze kruidige worst met curry wordt bijna overal in de stad verkocht! Een bezoekje aan Berlijn kan gewoonweg niet voorbij gaan zonder dit worstje gegeten te hebben.

De currywurst is een typische Berlijnse delicatesse en werd in 2003 vereerd met een gedenkplaats. Op de Kantstrasse 101 vindt u een plakkaat die Herta Heuwer herdenkt. Herta Heuwer was hét brein achter dit kruidige worstje en had haar snackbar op deze plek.
