On this one I used the sun peaking through the shade at a medium slow shutter speed 1/40 second to make little squiggly lines in the water ripples from the sun's reflection on the water, this is done in bright afternoon light in the shade, now you know how to do this trick,

it's about imagination and the love of light, break free, feel the light. you can do anything with a camera, get a idea in your head and then figure out how to do it, and bring it to life, might take a few try's, learn what went wrong as you attempt your creation, and end up with the image you wanted, it is not magic, it is you. be yourself, and use the light

Rome Street Parklands Friday Morning

I didn't actually take this photo, a graduate student specializing in coffee did. This week's Farm Update is about a little story he told me about good coffee versus bad coffee. I asked him if he had any photos and he sent me this one of a coffee cupping.

My little secret (shhh, don't tell anyone) is that before becoming a coffee farmer, I never drank coffee. A friend of mine was helping when I first started the website. He set the password to "DrinksCoke". That was several years ago. Since then, the password has been changed and now I drink coffee every day.

When I started drinking coffee I taught myself to drink it black. I still prefer it that way. That's good because it's easier to taste the coffee for quality control purposes. I'm still not as good at distinguishing the subtleties of coffee as Shawn the graduate student is. I guess I'll just have to keep practicing.

Orion Wyatt stopped them dancing; his big hands rubbing against her biceps as he speaks. "Stop." He sighs, "You will never, ever be a burden to me. Ever." He states, firmly.

He held her gaze for a long moment, big hands cupping her face. . Not caring if anyone was looking, not caring if the world or their friends or professors saw.

"Stop thinking and just let me love you, Moon." He sighs with a grin, and without a moment to let her rebut? He closed the space and with both hands on either side of her face, crushed his mouth to hers in probably the most public display of affection he'd /ever/ done...other than scream his affections across the dance floor.

Cupping is one of the coffee tasting techniques used by cuppers to evaluate coffee aroma and the flavor profile of a coffee. To understand the minor differences between coffee growing regions, it is important to taste coffee from around the world side-by-side. Cupping is also used to evaluate a defective coffee or to create coffee blends.

Cuppingroom.hk: "Cupping Room was founded in 2011 in Stanley Plaza, Stanley, Hong Kong Island. From the beginning, our focus was to bring carefully roasted and prepared coffee to Hong Kongers in a comfortable environment. In 2013, we relocated from Stanley Plaza to the bustling district of Sheung Wan, expanding in the process to include Australian-inspired café fare."

I cannot resist eating wanton noodle when I am in Hong Kong. Where I am after coming out from Tsim Chai Kee Noodle at Wellington Street, I see this white building with huge windows.

For coffee lovers, you should give it a go and they serve meals as well. See what you think about it?

One of my friends said it ok while the others and myself like it...a subjective matter! Guess I am not the fussy one.

This is marginally also a selfie, because you can still see me there :P

This Sunflower is about 7 feet tall and it made for this nice view.

These lights are made out of glasses used for cupping in earlier times. One can either put some oil in the bottom and float a wick, or else use a tea light. They are great for nights outdoors here, as there is generally a wind making candles useless.

Yes i'm nuts.

I did this awhile ago but i'm not happy with it. At night, very cold on top of an abandoned train. I think this is a very conceptual image.

That is my hand cupping myself before anyone asks.

did not want any hang down!

I was hanging out in Prufrock on Leather Lane today with @BekFreeman & @RobsonBarista. There was a cupping going on… Dave tried to sell me an old bike… Tried out some cold coffee… I ate cake… all of it.

The Ethiopian Tchembe won out big time! It was a brilliant, bright, fruity cup.
