After a breathtaking drive back from the snowy mountains of Gudauri, where the cold still tingled our cheeks, it was a relief to arrive in sun-drenched Mtskheta. On the terrace of Café Bagineti on the River, we felt the warmth of the sun on our skin as we plopped down on chairs overlooking the calm river. The transition from icy mountain air to this lively, sunny scene felt almost magical. With a glass of local wine and fragrant dishes on the table, we could not help but sit back and enjoy the moment. After exploring the city, a visit to Café Bagineti on the River is a must. Situated on the river, the café offers a relaxing atmosphere with views of the water and the surrounding hills. Here you can enjoy traditional dishes such as eggplant rolls with walnuts, grilled chicken and ojakhuri (fried potatoes with meat). The ingredients are grown in the garden, and the service is friendly and warm. Photo of Kanitha on the terrace of Café Bagineti on the River. She is studying the menu with great attention.

De ingrediënten komen vers uit eigen tuin, en de bediening is warm en oprecht gastvrij. at janina's in puerto portals, we enjoyed an unforgettable sensory experience. this exquisite sushi, topped with delicate, flambéed duck skin and a hint of foie gras, is a true masterpiece in texture and flavor. as the flame enhances the aroma, the topping melts on the tongue, releasing a luxurious taste that’s both exciting and refined. the sashimi was also outstanding, fresh and perfectly balanced in preparation. their interpretation of vitello tonnato – premium beef cooked bleu, harmonized with lightly marinated bluefin tuna and capers – was a flavorful journey that flawlessly combined traditional and modern elements.
