This scene, which includes the curvy sides of the two "Marilyn Monroe" condominium towers, left me in a bit of a conundrum. First, the curvy towers make it difficult to give a proper perspective to the two buildings between them - they always seem to look crooked. Second, the morning sun reflecting off the windows of one tower onto the taller of the two behind it created a dappled light effect. Third, there must have been thousands of people living in that one city block and it gave me a whole new perspective on urbanization - not only do we work in cubicles but we live in them too.
My LPS Blythe sitting at her desk, hard at work. 📠
This was my desk before I retired. I worked at the billing office of a large healthcare system. In our building, there were people working here who had come from many places. On this day we were decorating our cubicles based on where we were from. I’m originally from Pennsylvania, so I decorated with Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs, photos of celebrities, maps, Hershey tin and sign, Heinz label, and a Robin Woods doll made in Pittsburgh. It was an interesting day with many states and nations represented in our office.
One of the summits of Shatrunjata hills, Angar Pir is a rare muslim shrine. Angar Pir, believing in the intrinsic sacredness of the temples, even though they were to a different faith than his own, came to their protection. Through the power of his prayers and devotion, he hurled holy fire on the invading armies, thus protecting the nearby jain temples from destruction. The man was in one of the cubicles for resting by the sanctuary.

For the backing, I just used up the remaining pieces of fabric from the front. I really like this one, and love that this quilt is now two sided! Blogged here.
Front office on the Sause Bros tug Mikiona. This is where I spend long days crunching numbers. I'll have my people call your people and we'll do lunch!
P.S. A few people have asked questions about the boat. Here is a link with info:
