A traditional English dish made with the shallow-fried leftover vegetables from a roast dinner. The main ingredients are potato and cabbage, but carrots, peas, Brussels sprouts, or any other leftover vegetables can be added. The chopped vegetables are fried in a pan together with mashed potatoes or crushed roast potatoes until the mixture is well-cooked and brown on the sides. The dish is so named because the cabbage makes bubbling and squeaking sounds during the cooking process.
That was lunch today!
Crushed grapes in their juice, ready to be pressed. At this stage they already have some alcohol, and a lovely smell! :)
Hoje eu levei a Crush no trabalho e no intervalo do café fotografei ela sob a luz do Sol. Gentemmm, sou suspeita, mas a bichinha é fotogênica que só vendo ! Todo mundo gostou dela, principalmente uma menina da informática bem ruivinha assim como a Crush. Foi muito legal !
I just got a couple of new wigs on Friday and Nerilka immediately claimed one to wear right then and there for photos. I also just got some great deals on fabric for some different backdrops and the two I used for this shoot are crushed velvet style. I like how the darker burgundy velvet looks in the back with the super soft mohair wig. I love all the soft curlies!

I have only ever been to Regent St before when it has been jammed with shoppers. It was very odd being here when it was so quiet and the beauty of the architecture was a little more obvious.
The Orange Day Lily in all its glory at the George Pegg Garden near Glenevis, central Alberta, Canada.
This flower has been in cultivation for a long time, and it often outlives the structures that surround it and their inhabitants. This hybrid species is able to naturalize in the wild because the foliage is tall enough to compete for sunlight alongside other species of plants.
The George Pegg Garden was Alberta's first declared historic resource and is a protected site. It is managed by the George Pegg Botanic Garden Society. www.pegggarden.org

Like that little weed growing next to the wheel. So close to being crushed, just living one day at a time....
