The wizard seeks shelter in the ruins of the moon temple. Her candle flickered to a blue flame. A bad omen or a good one?

As I walked towards this glacier I traversed the area that had been covered by Ice just a few years ago. To imagine that one day we may not have this beauty to gaze upon is heartbreaking. By sharing pictures of these beautiful places I hope in some small part I can convey how precious these landscapes are and how important that we protect them for the future generations to enjoy and for the well being of our beloved planet.

The facade is like a patch work quilt having been rendered several times over the years.

Sometimes one just has to spoil oneself. A bowl of Gooseberry's and windfall apples and plums ready to be made into a mixed fruit crumble for when I get back from my cycle. The weather forcast looked bad but sticking to my guns to visit this years orchid sites all by bike. But how bad I did not anticipate and was probably one of the most uncomfortable cycle rides ever and the thought of a steaming, sweet, juicy crumble with lashings of creamy custard got me through. You will not find this image in the the glossy travel brochures of Madeira. I came across this wandering the backstreets, to me it is attractive in it's own way, the faded and worn paint work, the crumbling bricks, the broken shutters etc ........... in it's prime it must have been a very desirable residence

A once-beautiful and large farm home near Camrose, Alberta, slowly crumbles to the ground.

Tracey made this Rhubarb and Apple crumble. The rhubarb is home grown from our garden.
