There is no better way, no better feeling than the one you experience knowing that your meals did not cause suffering and death to other Sentient Beings.

We ate lunch there before heading home. While it wasn’t our favorite restaurant, we did enjoy the cheese curds. They were quite delicious!

In Omaha, Nebraska. We stopped here for lunch and had the nachos mole & turki club. Got it to go and enjoyed it on a bench in the park across the street while listening to live violin music. It was a great break from the road!

We’ve been wanting to visit this vegan restaurant since it opened and finally did today! We got mozzarella sticks and two burgers (the Superbad and Up In Smoke), plus a freshly squeezed strawberry lemonade. The burgers came with the best waffle fries we’ve ever had. It was great to eat at a vegan restaurant again. It’s been a while!

A vegetarian coffeehouse in Madison. We decided to go to Madtown to celebrate 23 years together by visiting two vegan establishments and checking out a state park.

We got a coffee and the best donut we’ve ever had (from Level 5 Donuts). They have a street art wall that changes on a regular basis and I was thrilled to see that a blue heron graced it when we visited.

Despite the name, this brewery is 100% vegan. Mike tried two kinds of their beer, which he enjoyed. As far as food, we shared shishito peppers, loaded nachos, and a large pretzel with added beer cheese. The pretzel was awesome and Mike loved the beer cheese, but the other two dishes we found disappointing. Although we have no plans on going back, we’re glad we tried it and it’s always great to support a vegan establishment.

I add the vinegar before eating not while cooking

Bread croutons can be used in place for the Quinoa. I also make this soup in a raw version (blender only). I don’t use oil then

We stopped in here for a breakfast sandwich and hash browns. SO good! I love how colorful it was inside & out and the server was extremely friendly & upbeat. We would definitely eat here again if we go back to the area.

Mad Rabbit cafe has great decor!

I loved the inside of the cafe as much as the food. Rabbits everywhere, some creepy, some deranged looking. Perfection!

We ate there after hiking at Mead Wildlife Area. Mike had the turtle club, I had the brunchwrap- they were both delicious!

This is their second location (the first, which we’ve eaten at several times, is unfortunately closed). We had a great meal consisting of a taco melt, beet Reuben, and mac & cheese! After eating, we drove to Harrington Beach State Park and took a hike. It was a great outing!

A really awesome vegan restaurant that we hope to visit again!

This is a great vegan restaurant that we would definitely eat at again. It’s punk rock inspired and the food was amazing. We each got a breakfast bagel sandwich and shared a strawberry boba. So delicious!

Baba Ganoush with Parsley + Stuffed Grape Leaves with Rice, Pears and Pomegranate Juice + Lettuce Salad with Radishes and Cherry Tomatoes, sprinkled with lemon juice

No baby chicks have been grinded alive for this meal, no baby cow has been slaughtered, no animal has been imprisoned, tortured and killed for my meal.

faux leather made of microfibre - good stuff, and no animal was hurt

After biking on the Mountain Bay trail, we stopped at Wicked Willow on our way home to get lunch. As always, it was delicious! We shared Super Summer Spring Rolls, a California Crunch-Rito, and the Born This Way lemonade.

Since we visited their original location, they opened up another one in Milwaukee and we were excited to visit it. They had some awesome art on the wall!

Mike had the Next Friday and I had the Chopped & Screwed. Both were very delicious!

Two years ago, we bought a vegan donut from a coffee shop in Madison and we both agreed that it was the best donut we’ve ever had.

It was very exciting to learn that the makers of those donuts, Level 5 Donuts, just opened up a storefront at the beginning of May. It’s the 30th vegan establishment we’ve visited, which we hope to visit again.

The donuts we purchased were mixed berry cheesecake, chocolate brownie, churro, and a glazed old fashioned cake. They were all fantastic but I’d definitely go with the cake donut as my favorite (I’ll take cake over a yeast donut any day). So delicious!

We stopped at Ian’s and picked up two pizzas to bring home. They never disappoint and I love that they’re so vegan friendly!

In Dead Bird Brewing. We were pretty delighted to see so many arcade games. Both of us grew up in the 80’s when arcades were around and this brought up fond memories.

A tiny neighborhood type cafe in Milwaukee that’s pretty new and 100% vegan (the 20th vegan restaurant we’ve eaten at!). We had the chorizo burrito and breakfast sammie. Both we would definitely get again because they were delicious perfection.

After we got home, we went for a long hike in the Kettle Moraine Forest and the food powered us through the entire thing. It was a sunny, 50 degree day that was much needed after all the cold & gloom of the past three weeks. We also were quite excited to hear frogs and see a snake!

In Dead Bird Brewery. They have two walls full of old arcade games and it gave us some nostalgia!

We’ve been wanting to eat at this vegan restaurant for a while and finally did! Mike had the Adonis burger and I had the falafel wrap. Both delicious!

We took a day trip to Madison and our first stop was to pick up some donuts. They’re so delicious!

Colorful, relaxed atmosphere, and completely vegan. This is our kind of place!

Mike got the Southwestern nachos and I had spring rolls. Both were delicious!

We went to Urban Beets for breakfast this morning. It was delicious! Mike had the Sun Up Ciabatta, I had the bagel sandwich, and we shared a strawberry lemonade iced tea. We’re looking forward to our next visit already!

This awesome vegan Jamaican jerk style restaurant is one we’d love to return to asap. The food was incredible!

Mike had the Slapped Up Chopped Cheese Steak sandwich, I had the Award Winning Tofu Bowl, and we shared an orange lemonade & a strawberry lemonade. Everything was so amazingly delicious! We brought the food to a picnic table at Lake Monona and ate while enjoying the view.

There are no animals in Cirque du Soleil productions, only sheer human energy ... and emotion! Never exploiting animals to entertain the public... :-)

Cirque du Soleil (French for "Circus of the Sun") is an entertainment empire based in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and founded in Quebec in 1984 by two former street performers, Guy Laliberté and Daniel Gauthier. It was an answer to a call by Commissariat général aux célébrations 1534-1984 of the Quebec Government for the 450th anniversary celebration of the arrival of French explorer Jacques Cartier (b 1491-d 1557) to Canada. Gauthier, who left the company in 2001, now owns the ski area Le Massif, on the St. Lawrence River in Quebec. Cirque du Soleil is now "guided" by Laliberté. (from Wikipedia)

Prunes, plums, bananas, lettuce, red cabbage, and coffee

There were few pieces of potatoes but I ate them before taking the picture.

No animal was slaughtered for this delicious meal. No baby chicks were grinded alive for it (in other words, it doesn’t contain eggs). No baby cow was separated from his mom to be murdered (no dairy)

A 100% vegan cafe in Wauwatosa. A co-worker of ours visited here the other week and told us he had the best reuben he’s ever had in his life (he’s not even vegan and said it ruined him for all other reuben sandwiches).

Mike had the cauliflower po’boy & mango smoothie and I had the nachos. The food was excellent and we’d definitely eat there again. They use whole food ingredients and make some delicious goodness with them!

Enough to fill the belly! Add some toast with humus on it if you want more food

Mike and I have been vegan for 16 years now and in that time, vegan food options have come a very long way. We tend to avoid overly processed foods, but couldn’t pass up these Stranger Things themed chicken nuggets when we saw them.

They’re quite tasty and I couldn’t resist the combination of a vegan item and one of our favorite shows (which is an equally irresistible combination of the 80’s and horror, IMO).

Bandana from Herbivore Clothing.

Update- Skinny Butcher now uses really chicken in their products, so please do not purchase them if you’re vegan! Very disappointing….

One good thing about always buying fruits and veggies at the same, small vegetable store is that they sometimes give you some ripe fruits. The other day, it was a sweet melon.
