It takes a certain amount of courage to sit - eyes closed headphones on, cross-legged and vulnerable in a public place.
Meditation is a practice in which an individual uses a technique – such as mindfulness, or focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity – to train attention and awareness, and achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state.
Personally as I get older I don't need to meditate to become stable and calm - I find "not giving a toss" has the same effect.

Colour re-edit of a shot from March 2017. The colour edit deserved placing the subject in centre of frame as she soaks up the warm springtime sunshine.
We are still a way from the last frost risk and tonight in Scotland there is a frost warning for gardeners. I'll be bringing my little bay tree in for the night.

Good thing there were not too many cars on this road as I had plopped myself crosslegged on the pavement to take this shot... but I think I had a friend with me to warn me of any traffic coming up behind. Always good to have a spotter especially if you are prone to putting yourself in the path of cars, trains or other vehicles as I sometimes am.

Today was one of those rare days when I actually find it difficult to chose a 365 - not because I'm unhappy with my results, but because I'm happy with several of them!
Just managed to squeeze these in between rainstorms. Playing with off-camera flash for the first time in a while - it really does add to the drama. Oh, the ND8 Grad came out to play as well.
My choice from these four is liable to change over the next few days... so feel free to speak your mind and sway my decision!
