macro mondays: gift...one of our activities during 2020 has been playing D&D with our son as DM, as when all were sent home from university. We gave gifts of very cool metal die.

Last time I played Dungeons & Dragons it was back in the days of the 3rd Edition... but now, having gotten myself thoroughly hooked on wonderful 'Critical Role'* I feel like it's time to brush up on the new rules of the 5th Edition
* Critical Role - 'a bunch of nerdy-assed voice actors playing Dungeons and Dragons' over on Geek&Sundry/Youtube, a show that has no right to be as damned good as it is - enthralling, exciting, at times hilarious. I started off with the Trial of the the Take episodes out of curiosity (and for fairly obvious reasons) and 15/20 minutes in I was hooked.
Not long ago I discovered Critical Role on Geek & Sundry. It's so addictive. I've been binging to get caught up.

Critical Role is a complicated thing to explain to people, it seems. Hosted on Geek & Sundry's Twitch channel, it features (in the words of the Dungeon Master, Matt Mercer) "a bunch of nerdy-ass voice actors who sit around and play Dungeons and Dragons." The group, known as Vox Machina, will be winding their story up soon, and rolling up new characters to begin a new campaign. I had wanted to build the team for awhile, and it felt like a good love letter as their adventures near a close.

Not alot of people know I'm a fan of Critical Role, and one of my favorites on there is Taliesin. For Campaign two, his first character was Mollymauk Tealeaf. I even named one of the kitten we have after him. No I'm virtually cosplaying as Mollymauk.

"The map says, 'We can't get there from here.'"
I asked Emily to point to the map and try to figure out where we were and then look around with the look of, "Yep. We're totally lost."

Thank you for any group invites which I'd be glad to accept. However, if I can't check the content of such groups ("This group is not available to you") I'd rather not add any of my photos. Thank you for your understanding.

I honestly know nothing about this show but I was amused by their interactions with one another. Kudos on the props they brought with them and used.
