The distinctive fruits of the seeds are called samaras , "maple keys", "helicopters", "whirlybirds" or "polynoses". These seeds occur in distinctive pairs each containing one seed enclosed in a "nutlet" attached to a flattened wing of fibrous, papery tissue. They are shaped to spin as they fall and to carry the seeds a considerable distance on the wind.

Wrinkles in a passionfruit (Panama variety) for the Macro Mondays theme: "Crinkled, Wrinkled, Folded or Creased". Despite the wrinkles and spots on the outside of the fruit, the pulp was still edible and sweet.

I hope to start getting back into Flickr again. I miss all my Flickr friends and their lovely work. Lets sail into this holiday season with new hope and goals for the next year.

(My little origami boat is approximately an 1 3/4" small with a teeny little lantern).

Decided that minimal was the way to go. 1 sheet of A4 paper, Folded once. 1 light source. 1 colour (slightly desaturated).

Janet was so right in the in the challenge, it's all about the lighting!

I couldn’t think of anything more appropriate for today’s Macro Monday theme, Crinkled, Wrinkled, Folded or Creased than Top Ramen which is ALL of the above. 😊 The noodle length inside an instant ramen package is about 51 meters-The equivalent to 2 basketball courts!

This quintessential college staple would only cost you about $140USD a year to eat at every meal. Lol
