The Creedy valley near Crediton is set t'wix beautiful rolling Devonshire hills. The area has red soils, that look purple in this light, which come from the sandstones laid down in the arid desert conditions of the Permian and Triassic periods, 290 to 206 million years ago. It is an unspoilt rural landscape. Long may it be so.
New Brighton beach looking over to Liverpool and its industrial docklands, different coloured lights reflecting in the different textures making for a great colour show.
Positioned just above Padley Gorge, this tree’s branches caught my attention as they spread out through the mist, which reinforced the creeping nature of the morning mist, as it moved around the area.

Carrbridge - Scottish Highlands.
Carrbridge is a village in Badenoch and Strathspey in the Scottish Highlands. It forms a beautiful area of the Caingorms National Park, and in turn, provides a wonderful home to the Red Squirrel.
In Great Britain numbers have decreased drastically in recent years. This decline is associated with the introduction by humans of the eastern grey squirrel from North America. However, the population in Scotland is stabilising due to conservation efforts, awareness and the increasing population of the pine marten, a European predator that selectively controls grey squirrels.

I wake up in silence
that feels too loud.
The world moves,
but I don’t.
There’s air in my lungs,
but it doesn’t mean breathing.
Just motion.
Just habit.
I stopped wanting.
Stopped fighting
for a reason
that never came.
Every sound feels distant —
like someone else’s life
echoing through mine.
I look at the light
and it doesn’t touch me.
I look inside
and there’s nothing left to hold.
Just this quiet ache,
not even pain —
just absence.
And somewhere in it,
a whisper:
maybe that’s all I am —
a shadow that forgot its shape.
Whilst hiding in the hedgerow yesterday morning looking out for hares, we noticed a Fallow Buck in the distance. We managed to creep closer along the hedgerow and then this beautiful stag appeared out of the woods. He stayed for a few seconds and then they disappeared back into the woods.
The morning light creeps in to partially light up part of a hillside in Glen Lochay on my way to do a hillwalk in the area.
A little poem I read today -
When the winter winds of March,
are wakening the crocuses and crickets, Did you ever find a Fairy near some budding little thickets...
And when she sees you creeping up to get a closer peek,
she tumbles through the daffodils, a playing hide and seek.
Another from a magical day out in the Black Mountains in Wales.
This was taken on the approach to Rhos Dirion, with the mist of a temperature inversion starting to creep over the lip of the escarpment.
The sheep didn't seem to mind, but I suppose as they are quite often stuck in the hill fog that is so prevalent here, being able to see anything is a bonus!
I was struck by the light on the mist, in particular the sharp shadow line, with the blue colour below, and the pink above caused by the early sun.
This one also used some of the subtleties of development available by using the Nik suite.

I couldn't contain my excitement as I laid eyes on Dust Bunny's Rosedale Manor. Its elegant stone walls and charming windows exuded a rustic charm that perfectly captured the essence of a cozy cottage, all within a practical and livable space.
I'm obsessed, and what else would I do but surround it with verdant grass, delicate pink blooms (Also from Konoha - Jest + Cosmos), and the majestic presence of ancient plane trees from Konoha @FameShed. The detail on the bark is phenomenal. The creeping moss, and a diverse seasonal selection. A must have!
The UP Spirit unit crawls through the H-yard connection in Joliet, IL. Not exactly where one would expect to see a passenger special.
