Sometimes the graffiti is really creative and intelligent, but mostly just stupid and unimaginative. Suppose Baselitz, Richter or Beus just write his name on a blank piece of paper ... senseless!
A rainy day with Photoshop instead of camera. For my album "Creativity, Close-up and Macro". Take a look !
With a lockdown in place it is against the rules for me to go to places I like to shoot, so I though I would try to create a series called Isolated creativity. The series is not intended to be a diary but a way of documenting thoughts and emotions via photography.
This one is about Dominic Cummins, his trip to Durham and the way he tests is eyesight! It is also about our trust in politicians in general which seems to be an ever reducing commodity.
A friend with a very creative mind made these "pencils". You can't draw with them, they are twigs with a point cut and he gave the points a color. I said "those are cool for a theme someday". Then I got a bundle, for someday and someday has now come.
Between the already cool death head markings on the spider back and the absolutely ridiculously badass, Monster Nemesis head by Bespoke, this new avatar concoction has become a fast favorite of mine.
[2020/04/17 20:49] Luka Benton: well you definitely express your creativity visually :D
[2020/04/17 20:49] Winter Jefferson: you mean by taking moodily lit photos wearing nothing but lipstick and jeans.
[2020/04/17 20:49] Winter Jefferson: lolollll
[2020/04/17 20:50] Luka Benton: ROFL false modesty
[2020/04/17 20:50] Winter Jefferson: okay fine, lipstick jeans and the odd nipple piercing.
This is creativity at it's "finest" for my magic friend Luka Benton. THERE YOU GO BABYCAKES.
And also for that ex who says I look like Jeffree Star.
Windmills have become part of the Canarian landscape, silent witnesses of a past in which they played an important role in the economy of the islands. In the case of Fuerteventura, they existed profusely because this typology is developed mainly in arid or desert regions, taking the wind as a source of energy, to make up for the lack of water currents. To this contributed the almost permanent presence of air currents in the islands and the orography of the island, characterized by vast plains only "interrupted" by these peculiar constructions.
Their typologies are made up of two very different types, but one of them predominates numerically. The most abundant is defined by an architectural structure of flat circular plant, with truncated cone shape made of masonry, topped by an irregular conical or pyramidal wooden roof of which one of its parts is open to give exit to the axis of the blades. The interior is divided into two floors, with access to the upper floor by an interior staircase, in some cases, or exterior, in others. The other typology, of which there are fewer examples, is defined by a quadrangular building, on which rises a tower made with a framework of wooden railings, which supports the blades. In the center of the tower descends an axis that connects the gearing of the blades with the stones.

When I see the variety of colors and shapes that nature endows this faded part of a magnolia with, I am simply fascinated!

I've felt a bit like Pink Rabbit over the passed few day. I'm not fed up and depressed by the lockdown but by the people who think that it's okay to break the rules. By the tabloid media that run stories that convince people it's okay to go out and about, when it Isn't. By the political points scoring that has started to appear in all forms of media.Lastly I fed up with second home owners that have turned up during lockdown and appear to be going out and about most days.
Just like Pink Rabbit I have the blues.
When I get a slump and feel a need to pump up, all I do is take the walk in nature. It does not take long and frames begin to appear on things near and far. After an hour walk I am pumped and full of ideas, the memory card is pumped and full too lol.
I agree that constraints help spur creativity. Today I ended up playing with a bunch of different subjects but came back to work on my bees. Again working close up with the 36mm extension tube on my 100mm macro lens. There was a bit of sunlight I was able to coax onto this large pumpkin blossom. The bees in this blossom were in like a drunken stupor and didn't move like the others I encountered. They were less inclined to move much which made it easier to work. I love the hairy details of the blossom and the balls of pollen on the bees legs.
Thanks for visiting, hope you aren't getting bored or grossed out by all of the bees. I'm a big fan of bees but not wasps, yellow jackets, earwigs, spiders, flies, or mice. Oh, and update on the mice, we did catch one in a trap. Feeling a bit better about life but just wish all the pests would stay outside and I wouldn't have to be bothered with them.
A corner in the interior of a phenomenally talented Italian Sculptor's Studio and a trolley of sculptured heads made by a group of novices including mine!!
just stopped by to wish you -
happy Valentine's!

(creativity limited to arranging pieces of paper :)
