Capturing the Essence of Espace Art Gallery and Founder Jerry Delfosse

🎥 Through my photos and videos, I had the privilege of showcasing the unique spirit of Espace Art Gallery and its founder, Jerry Delfosse. This vibrant cultural hub in the heart of Brussels is a place where art, ideas, and creativity converge. 💙Jerry’s passion for nurturing talent—both emerging and established—shines in every event and exhibition.

An intimate neighborhood shot, displaying the kind of activity that people engage in when they feel relaxed in the place they live & work in. You won't see this downtown! Employees noticed the support structure that was created when a baby oak tree was planted. The new business, a restaurant and night spot, didn't yet have a laundry service, so they used the line connecting the poles supporting the tree as a clothesline for drying a wet mop & dish rags. Don't the rags make a nice reflection on the black car?

This is hardly an "art" shot--quite the opposite! Some might see it as a joke, even thinking that I set this up. (I didn't.) It's a symbol for how life is lived in my neighborhood, a place where people don't have much money (or education, unfortunately) and must use their creativity to find free or inexpensive alternatives to things they can't afford. It's a quirky place in many ways and this photo really illustrates that fact perfectly...

Note: The new restaurant/club eventually opened as "Altus"... It "ate" the space of the neighborhood record store, which I commemorated in a post recently, as well as a little cyber café/computer tech store which was a mighty handy place to have around when computers misbehaved...
