Project: Mediterranean Apartment
Introduction:
As a freelance 3D artist at Schawk SGK, I created the Mediterranean Apartment to showcase my CGI skills in producing room sets for Laura Ashley's website. This image demonstrates my proficiency in Cinema4D, Marvelous Designer, and Photoshop.
Scope:
I Modeled, Textured, Lit and Rendered realistic 3D room sets to replace outdated photography on Laura Ashley's website.
Challenges:
Achieving realism proved challenging due to the grey color scheme. However, I addressed this by adjusting the scale of items, varying surface properties, and optimizing focal length to enhance depth perception.
Execution:
I mastered the creation of foliage and plants using simple geometry and images, which added depth and contrast to the grey color palette, enhancing realism. I particularly liked the Gobo effect caused by the Palm's shadows through the window
Takeaways:
This project emphasized the importance of persistence and creative problem-solving in meeting client needs.

Description:
Welcome to "The Blue Room," a cozy space where modern design meets comfort. Using Cinema4D and Photoshop, I meticulously crafted every detail of this scene, from the furniture, crown mouldings and cornice, and bay window along with most of the textures. The materials were developed in Cinema4D to accurately reflect the properties of each item, with detailed textures supplied by Client Laura Ashley and retouched by Daniel Willson.
I handled all aspects of modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering, while the fireplace, although not lit, adds a touch of warmth to the room, created by Wojciech Wanczyk. It's a simple yet inviting space where you can relax and unwind.
Take a moment to appreciate the subtle details that bring the scene to life. This artwork showcases the intersection of creativity and technical skill in my CGI artwork.
Project: Gold Room Showcase
Introduction:
As a freelance 3D artist at Schawk SGK, I spearheaded The Gold Room project to demonstrate proficiency in Marvelous Designer and enhance skills in textile design. The goal was to provide visually striking bedding and room set imagery for Laura Ashley's website.
Scope:
Created realistic 3D models of bedding items to replace outdated photography on the client's website.
Challenges:
Overcame initial scepticism within the team regarding the complexity of detailed bedding items.
Execution:
Mastered Marvelous Designer to develop lifelike fabric simulations. Expanded project scope to include complete room sets.
Outcome:
Secured a contract with Laura Ashley for Duvet Cover room sets, Drapes, and Blinds. Improved client's website with visually appealing imagery.
Takeaways:
Highlighted the importance of persistence and creative problem-solving in meeting client needs.
