Interior shot shows how the media components will be stored. An X-Box unit, power supply, games, controllers, etc. all fit nicely inside.
Dry-fit so that we can make sure all of the pieces fit as we hoped. We then move into wrapping the entire unit with satin black laminate.
We inherited this boring IKEA closet from the former owners. We thought it to be irritating but kept it for temporary, practial reasons.
The drawers and doors were covered in brown laminated wood - horrible - but we decided to paint them in high-gloss black.

Half closed, half opened...this shows a bit of how it will look. The plasma screen surround has not yet been covered with maple ply yet.
This became a smaller curved finishing component to top off the shorter version of our massive media cabinet. This piece is used in place of the upper cabinet section to make the overall size just under 7'.
This gorgeous shade of wine is the perfect touch for this office. I hand painted this accent wall with a suede effect, then added the popular fleur de lis for an elegant touch.
