Creative Innovations - Abstract Self Portraits

King Leonidas: In the end, a Spartan's true strength is the warrior next to him. So give respect and honor to him, and it will be returned to you. First, you fight with your head...

Queen Gorgo: Then you fight with your heart.

Quote - From the Movie 300

Today is my day 300!! I can't believe I have been taking pictures for 300 days. It has been a great learning experience thus far. In 300 days I have grown not only as a photographer but as a person. I have learned so much about myself and have met a lot of great new friends along the way.

Random Fact - I have an obsession with playing in my hair. I love to twirl it in my fingers. I really need to get a hair cut. I have so many split ends and I will sit their and try and find them and cut them out of my hair. It drives me nuts to do it. Which is why the hair is in a pony tail today.

M is for Mask

Creative Innovations - Alphabet Challenge

I got this mask at the flea market for $2.00. I was super stoked. It had peacock feathers on the top of it but I took those off. I may add them back later with more but I think I like it just as it is. It just needs some straps or something. I have it taped on my face with electric tape. Which hurt like hell when I pulled it off but it did the job.

Sorry I haven't been around lately. I have been feeling a little anti flickr and Ian has been wanting me to play the new Mario on Wii. We already beat the game but he still insist I play with him. I have so much to do this week. We are going to Orlando this weekend to Sea World on Saturday then Sunday hanging out with my Bestie Paula and my other really good friend Linda. I can't wait. I really miss my friends. Even though they only live 2 hours away it seems so far.

Cool Globes: Hot ideas for a Cooler Planet is the name of this Chicago Public Art Exhibit. It's a collection of 124 different globes designed to create awareness and inspire practical solutions to global warming. It's on display along the Chicago Waterfront all summer long.

This particular globe is called Creative Innovation. I wasn't so moved by what this globe stood for in the exhibit. What I was particularly struck by was the image of the chained-up earth set against the backdrop of a very vibrant American city and alongside a statue of happy children playing together.

Creative Innovations - U is for Umbrella

Okay this is boring. I couldn't think of anything exciting that started with a U and I am really not in the mood for picture taking lately. I feel like the past month or so I have taken crap for photos. No creativity, no emotions, nothing fun just boring old MySpace photos as I like to call them.

On the brighter side. I got some new clothes today. I went to Platos Closet. I have been searching and searching for some new clothes now for a while. I can never find anything. I think I am having problems with finding the right thing for my age and my body. All the clothing I like is for a 21 year old toothpick and well that's not me. I wish I was a clothing designer b/c I would design the perfect line for the early 30's woman who is caught in between the young and the old.

Smart creative types are quickly learning how to leverage the idea of AI art, and are drinking from a creative firehose. It is simply staggering to see how quickly things are evolving out there.

Take the case of Kelly Boesch. I have no idea who she is, or where she is located, but am mesmerized by her work after it crossed my path one day.

Check out this fascinating video, with all the scenes AND music generated by AI. (The scenes are from MidJourney, animated with RunwayML, and the music is from Suno.)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=o4ikd7C0smQ

Writes Kelly in her post related to her work:

I’m completely obsessed with AI. I create AI images and video. Hope you enjoy my stuff.

She goes on:

I made another one of these dancing music videos last night. It took me a while to get a song i liked and then i finally got this . The images were made with #Midjourney. Animated with @Runway. Music made with #Sunoai.

That will mostly be incomprehensible, but it implies that she is working hard at redefining her creative boundaries through a relentless exploration of what she can do with all the AI tools available to her.

Suffice it to say, I'm obsessed with her work. Here's another one:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3FYQs3HeBw

You need to watch this! Read about her process:

I created this video from start to finish in exactly 70 minutes. Video created using Runway Gen3 And VO also created in Runway. Script created in ChatGPT. I edited it in B Premiere. This is getting insane how good the video is getting. This is fun! So excited I get to test the new Runway.

You can find her work on Youtube, Instagram, and other social networks.

This is but one person working away at exploring the boundaries of AI to explore their artistic imaginations. There are thousands if not tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of folks like Kelly, working away, redefining their creativity engines. There is no doubt that within the next few years, all of this is going to go mainstream with television, radio, and film impacted in new and different ways.

Not only that, but new business models for monetization of this creative process are going to emerge. Just the other day, Suno - one of the most popular AI music generation programs, and the one used by Kelly - announced a deal and a contest with the popular artist Timbaland.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that something new is emerging in the field of artistic creativity, at a furious speed - and we have no idea how it is all going to turn out!

But what I do know is that the results are already astounding, and we're barely scratching the surface of what's possible, as the tools behind the scenes are themselves evolving and maturing at an astonishing speed.

Stay tuned and buckle up - AI is a steroid for creativity!
