Halle Cisco is a Portland-based graphic designer, illustrator and educator. She created this fantastic Scout Book full of illustrations of random folks. One of them is clutching a fish. Another wields a knife and a radish. One guy is singing karaoke with his eyes closed. Random.
Fifteen random folks sit opposite lined pages for note taking. These folks are just begging to be colored in and have their stories written!

London, UK, 28th April 2026, Fashion Industry maverick NIGO has his first retrospective exhibition at the Design Museum in London. The visionary designer and creative director is credited as one of the first designers to bridge the worlds of streetwear and luxury fashion. One of the founding fathers of ‘hype culture’, NIGO has applied his creative mind to some of the world’s most recognisable brands and cultural icons, as well as pioneering his own streetwear and luxury fashion labels. Exhibition opens 1st May to 4 October 2026.

These skeletal Scout Books were created by Matthew Trevaskis of Hola Pistola. The image on the books was created from one of his favorite etchings by his favorite illustrator and artist, José Posada. Living and working in Melbourne, Australia, Trevaskis has plans for more pieces honoring Posada to accompany these Scout Books in his shop soon!

Freshly baked dark chocolate and butter vanilla cupcakes, decorated with Swiss Meringue Salted Caramel (caramel a la fleur de sel) Buttercream at 7:00 am - which is when I finished! I had picked the last of the rosebuds in our garden - just enough to decorate over a dozen for entry in two competitions, Amateur Taste & Design. I didn't win but it was so much fun!
