Jesse Hora is an art director, an illustrator and an Michigan native. He filled these Scout Books with fun, funky sketches and smart illustrations. A super sweet ongoing illustration project of his is Athlete Objects, in which he creates his interpretations of 1980s and 1990s athletes based off of their names, his childhood memories, and their Wikipedia entries. Pretty fresh!

Bei Feli und Zelda macht sich mein wunderbares Fenster ganz gut. So kann man so etwas also doch mitnehmen.

Corey Thompson fills Scout Books with a regularity that puts me to shame. Sure, I go through a few a month, but my to-do lists and notes are hardly as inspiring as his sweet, sweet sketches. Corey posts filled-up Scout Books to his site regularly, so check there often for pocket-sized creativity.

Will Bryant is a graphic designer and illustrator extraordinaire! Based in Austin, Texas, Will makes things because he gets sad if he doesn't. His work is playful, fun, and always bright. He filled up a DIY Scout Book (Cover included!) in ONE DAY. Seriously. One day. A study in patterns. Sweet!

We had a blast participating in the Renegade Craft Fair this year and thought all you interested people would love to see some of the rad photos we took while we were there. Thanks to those of you who stopped by our booth! As mentioned before, this year we put on the first ever Scout Books Art Market where the notebooks were customized by loads of super talented artists, illustrators and designers.

Last week, we gave a shop tour to a group of graphic design students from Portland State University.

Here Austin is explaining how the two-color Shinohara press works

Justin Flood, one of the students, took these terrific photos of the shop. Thanks Justin!

Zen Foundation, social media made easy by Stepstone Tech, made this lovely three-color Scout Book for a conference in San Francisco.

And here we have a Scout Book created by Want Magazine and distributed free of charge to all the attendees at User Experience Lisbon to celebrate Want's premiere launch in May (Where did the time go? I'm obviously sharing this notebook a tad late). I heard from a very reliable source that these books were quite well received by all and quite the perfect size to take notes on all the lectures at the conference!

The Original Manufacturing Company (OMFGCO) created this trio of Scout Books for the men's bag and accessory company Property of...
