Vance Reeser makes animated films, creates images, crafts websites, and writes a blog. He so expertly filled up this Scout Book with some amazing character sketches–and a collage treat at the end. Not to mention the first time we've ever seen the Scout Book used as a mask! Bravo, bravo Vance! Great innovation. Great sketches.

Find Vance's work here, on his website. One project we're particularly intrigued by is a short animated film Vance is creating called the Beast of Black Lake. He used Kickstarter to fund the project but is still accepting backers to help propel the project towards completion.

We're pretty sure we'll be seeing loads of great stuff from Vance in the near future.

Ina Weise is a young lady with quite a bit of creative experience under her belt. She is currently an intern at The Post Family, but before calling Chicago home, she studied in Austria, Poland, and her native Germany. Her command of geometric shapes is astonishing, and her work spans mediums from textiles to printmaking to apparel to installation. Her installation at the Post Family's Family Room Gallery will close this week; if you're in Chicago, stop in to celebrate the closing of her show The Following of One Thing After Another.

Ina explores circles in this pocket notebook, incorporating pen, pencil, cut paper, collage, xerox transfer and woven paper.

Tara Hogan designed this terrific folded poster for CNY Yoga Center. I'm thoroughly impressed with the many functions this one print project serves: it's a mailer, an informational brochure, a membership form, a calendar, and a lovely poster with great illustration. Nice job, Tara!

Packaging is one of the deciding factors of any product’s success or failure rate. However, many a times, it is neglected by marketers as importance is laid to other aspects of the product like pricing and distribution. Packaging creates the first impression on the end buyer and thus, it needs to be done with great attention to detail. Choosing a right packaging supplier is the first step towards meeting the packaging requirements for your products. You need a packaging supplier who is reliable, flexible and also affordable. Any Dubai packaging company you approach will offer various packaging options and competitive prices. However, you need to draw a checklist before you select any packaging company.

As a seasoned marketer, you should first find out the experience of the packaging company. Any packaging design company you hire may have years of experience or no experience at all. If you are willing to take the plunge and cut packaging costs, you may hire a company which is new to the industry. However, you should find out whether the packaging firm you have chosen provides adequate primary as well as secondary packaging solutions.

This great Scout Book project comes to us from the people over at Aha! agency in celebration of their fourth anniversary. Located in Austin, TX, they specialize in branding + fresh perspectives and wanted to give their clients, friends, and fans a special kind of thank-you for their support. I think this Scout Book is perfect for the job! Printed in orange and brown, complete with a belly band (you know we love a good belly band) and custom interiors – turning four in 2010 never looked better!

These pocket notebooks were created by Pilot to be used as giveaways and note taking tools for a workshop they held with a client. Pilot’s plan is to create a series of Scout Books–one for each workshop held. The bold illustration style used on this Scout Book translates really well on the chipboard. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!

“These words shaped history. They belong to you. Know them.”

This Scout Book is the synthesis of many of the things we get very excited about: metallic inks, historical documents, recycled paper, democracy…the list goes on.

Scout Books is proud to introduce a pocket-sized edition of the Constitution of the United States of America. Containing the Preamble, the seven Articles and the twenty-seven Amendments, this tiny book packs the content into 32 pages and is wrapped in a two-color chipboard cover printed in black and metallic gold inks. Typeset in the oh-so-legible Gotham font by Hoefler & Frere-Jones, this little guy is a contemporary update on a crucial text that aims to make the supreme law of the land more accessible. The front cover boasts Museo Slab, designed by the talented Jos Buivenga.

My goodness, that's a good looking book.
