It's baby season at Chobe National Park and we stumbled upon this little baby hippo. He has so much spunk - opening and closing his mouth. He was a grumpy little guy and wanted to make sure we knew not to mess with his mama.

The only processing done was to crop the photo. The resolution is poor because it was taken with a phone camera in low light. What they are will be left to our imaginations. But to add a tidbit for ufo conspiracy theorists it was taken from an airforce base in northern Norway.

ARCTIC OCEAN - The Canadian Coast Guard Ship Louis S. St-Laurent and the Coast Guard Cutter Healy rafted together in the Arctic Ocean Sept. 5, 2009.
While the ships were tied together the crews enjoyed an Arctic barbeque that featured a “surf and turf” menu.
For the turf offerings, the Healy’s cooks prepared steak, chili and pulled pork.
The Canadians prepared smoked salmon, shrimp, scallops and lobster.
After the meal, the crews competed in the inaugural Arctic Olympics. Cribbage, foosball, air hockey and a number of interactive video games were just a few of the premier events.
The two ships have been taking part in a multi-year, multi-agency Arctic survey that will help define the Arctic continental shelf.
