An easy project I did with my elementary art class...all you need is foil, spray paint, leaves and steel wool. You can read about it here, if you like:

if you wonder what he drew, he drew a rabbit's home, with beds & sofa LOL.

recipe:
take all the broken wax crayons in your house
sort them by colour, chop into bits or grate
microwave until melted in order of rainbow (using same receptacle because if you are missing a colour, then adding yellow to a red stained receptacle gives you the missing orange!)
pour into silicone ice cube mould
leave to set
voila! see after.....
