#21 in the Window Worlds Series
A somewhat decrepit urban find.
Now with a new and better title!. ;-D
#10 in the Window Worlds series
Water-stained beige Kraft paper plus reflections.
The Kraft paper is applied to the window from within, hiding the view into an empty, covid shuttered business.
Condensation between the window glass and the paper freezes during winter nights and melts during sunny days, with the meltwater running down, creating the elongated "coffee stain effect once the water dries up on the paper. (I turned the image sideways, so that's not obvious.)
The green and blue colors are the reflections from trees across the street, and a bit of blue sky.
You learned in school that you have pencils and paper only because the trees gave themselves in unconditional sacrifice.

Thanks for views, faves and comments! ;-)
I haven't come up with a fancy name for these improvised corrugations. Maybe you could help me out?
Also, there is something very wrong about the picture but it's not exactly obvious ;)
A few weeks ago, a friend and I were talking about pastimes that can be done with little space required that did not involve computers. I mentioned my Christmas bauble beading. She felt that this was my preserve, so I mentioned quilling to her, which was a former pastime of mine.
Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. It is a fun, simple and very cathartic pastime to have. However like beading or embroidery, it takes patience as you will have to roll many a quill to make a splendid picture.
This year the FFF+ Group have decided to have a weekly challenge called “Snap Happy”. A different theme chosen by a member of the group each week, and the image is to be posted on the Monday of the week.
This week the theme, “colourful” was chosen by Andrew, ajhaysom.
The conversation I had with my friend inspired me to make a few quills out of some of the colourful craft paper I have in my home.

I have it on the window (there is a toaster oven outside this window for my polymer clay baking, so that's why it looks darker on the bottom), if I decide to add more designs on the cat or mandalas, I can.
We had planned to do some gardening today, sorting out the lawn, but the weather had other ideas. I did though manage to get out and get a few shots. I am so pleased to see the trees stating to blossom, it will not be long before they open now :-) I used a texture here that I made by taking a scan of some craft paper.
I hope you have all had a fantastic weekend.

I think my photo shows very good the influence of paper choice to the appearance of a model
Edit: you definitely have to see the folded Star Puff by Robin himself!!

I have been trying to be brave enough to snap a photo of this coffee bag. I pass it nearly every morning and it's just so beautiful, simple and perfect. It's almost as though it has beckoned. Plus it's delicious!
