The last surviving tank landing craft used at D-Day which avoided German shelling during the landings only to sink 66 years later in a dock on Merseyside arrived in Southsea today as part of her move to a museum.
Landfall, also known as LCT 7074, was restored at the Portsmouth Naval Base in a £4.7million project and will now go on to grace Southsea Common in Hampshire in front of the D-Day Story museum.
The 194ft (53m), 300-ton vessel was one of 800 such boats which carried tanks and military supplies on to the French beaches at Normandy as part of the Allied invasion force of June 6, 1944.

But a £5million rescue operation by the Royal Navy's museum then saw her raised four years later and restored at the Portsmouth Naval Base.

My softies take part in advertising agency promotion.
Charakters design: me
Graphic design & film director: Adam Chyliński
Music: Yellow Group
This film is a Christmas card for the "Yellow Group's" clients.
(Every client got his/hers own softie with a Christmas paper card in a box also.)
It's a Polish advertising agency, from the town where I live in : Gdańsk.
And this song they're singing is a very popular Polish Christmas carol.
It is called: " Przybieżeli do Betlejem " :) in Polish.
" They arrived to Bethlehem " in my own translation :)
This is a photo of some of my older pysanky, back when I first started. The designs are from books, but the execution is mine.
With a Kath Kidston theme.
Ugh.. I am so sick of embrodery floss! Lol. My fingers aren't small enough for these little things!!

This full size stainless steel sculpture of a representation of a Supermarine Spitfire, has been erected on an island of a new connection road in Stoke On Trent. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/meet-art...
The sculpture was erected in memory of the Spitfire designer, Reginal Mitchell (Born in Butt Lane, Staffordshire, he also designed the Schnieder Trophy winning seaplane amongst others). The sculpture is a stainless steel made from a design by the artist Suhail Shaikh, which he also used to produce the smaller scale paper representation on show at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. A photo of this paper sculpture can be seen here; www.flickr.com/photos/119509436@N06/40555423222/in/photol...
There are many sculptures of Mitchell's craft around Stoke On Trent, but none as famous as "The Spit".

I love LOVE my new craft toolbelt made for a Style School project. It's so cute and so useful! I found the perfect fabric for it too. It has little irons and scissors mixed in the pattern.
I got to re-learn how to use a sewing machine for this too which was so much fun!

Sadly, it seems like the user that inspired me has removed her account. I like giving credit where it's due.
Basically, you cut bits of colorful ribbon and fold them around one end of a toothpick. Glue them together and use a binder clip to keep them in place until mostly dry.

I always wanted a craft/sewing room for my dolls. My son made this dollhouse for me and I finally decided that it would be the designated room. I decided not to paint or paper the walls and leave the wood look, partly because I might want it to be something else someday. I do have windows for it but I don't feel like getting into that today. The hanging light is from IKEA. I hung it on jewelry chain from a cup hook. I was so happy with it , I wanted to share!
Some of my rubber stamp storage...they are on narrow picture frame shelves (Ribba Picture Ledges from Ikea)
Well, actually, they're going to be cherries. Hah but they kinda look like grapes when they're all bunched like that. Shrugs.
Doing some more quilling on my last day of vacation before its back into the office for me. Day two of my three-sixty-five!
Added some text to fill up that giant square of space on the left. G'day everyone :)
