might be a pin cushion, or might stay hooped up.....will have to wait and see partner!

Photo from Japanese craft book

I always wanted a craft/sewing room for my dolls. My son made this dollhouse for me and I finally decided that it would be the designated room. I decided not to paint or paper the walls and leave the wood look, partly because I might want it to be something else someday. I do have windows for it but I don't feel like getting into that today. The hanging light is from IKEA. I hung it on jewelry chain from a cup hook. I was so happy with it , I wanted to share!

... first ones to go were in the middle ... motorbike, elephants Belfast skyline ... these are all on Flickr!

Some of the projects the Ladies of the Crafts Group at church have been working on.

this pincushion is a new one for me. The sides are made from fabric rather than it being all felt.

part of the fabrics and books, stored in a closet in the hall just outside the craft room

A fun little craft for quick travel, loosely inspired by an old motorcycle sidecar and it's namesake, morphing into what you see here. I built this back in October for Bricking Bavaria's iteration of New Hashima, hope you like it!

The alligator scarf was a project for my first semester weaving class. He is made of hand dyed (acid dyed) felted Corridale wool. He id mostly wet felted with needle felted details

Front of the promotional postcard we designed for the upcoming Art vs. Craft (July 7 & 8). We will be there with even more new stuff! Bring your dollars!

Oh, and if you come be sure to wish James a "happy birthday."

This full size stainless steel sculpture of a representation of a Supermarine Spitfire, has been erected on an island of a new connection road in Stoke On Trent. www.stokesentinel.co.uk/news/stoke-on-trent-news/meet-art...

The sculpture was erected in memory of the Spitfire designer, Reginal Mitchell (Born in Butt Lane, Staffordshire, he also designed the Schnieder Trophy winning seaplane amongst others). The sculpture is a stainless steel made from a design by the artist Suhail Shaikh, which he also used to produce the smaller scale paper representation on show at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. A photo of this paper sculpture can be seen here; www.flickr.com/photos/119509436@N06/40555423222/in/photol...

There are many sculptures of Mitchell's craft around Stoke On Trent, but none as famous as "The Spit".

So, today I added a lot of new things to Frodo's house ( my RealPuki Tyni - I hope comming "soon" ).

New second floor, roof, shelf on 1st floor etc... I still need to make some more furtniture, a bath tube ( a japanese ofuro style ), the outside with trees and branches and a lil garden, tiny books, pillows, some light for the fireplace... etc... etc. I'm using very simple materials such as wood, carton-paper, natural fibers, branches, leds for the ligths, nothing sophysticated... ;)

I'm very excited making the house but really concerned cause I have no idea where he is! Every morning I check the package status and its the same since January 12th...

Ok, I'm being patient...

* sorry the pics are a bit dark cuz its night here! ;)

It's like my own personal Craft Fair!

well sort of. :) I've listed a bunch of unique items today! (see my profile for the link) many of these were featured in my book, Doodle Stitching, or other books I've contributed to. All these things are one of a kind!

One of our day trips from the Canopy Camp ecolodge in Panama's eastern Darien Province was to the indigenous village of Nuevo Vigia, accessible by canoe from the Rio Chucunaque. The local women's committee had set up a craft display area; each piece was marked with a price and the name of the person (standing nearby) who had created it. We purchased a number of the tightly woven baskets, plates and masks. The money went directly to artists, rather than being laundered and diminished through the hands of entrepreneurs.

I'm back! After a week of bad luck and meltdowns! Yea!

Felt house, as suggested by Joi. It's about 4"x4"x6"

Well, actually, they're going to be cherries. Hah but they kinda look like grapes when they're all bunched like that. Shrugs.

Doing some more quilling on my last day of vacation before its back into the office for me. Day two of my three-sixty-five!

Added some text to fill up that giant square of space on the left. G'day everyone :)

I heart my craft room.

Miss Kara asked me to guest over at her blog, The Art is Found.

This is my page for her prompt.

Go check it out... www.theartisfound.blogspot.com

I took this of my craft room where I scrapbook at. I have storage for all of my various crafts...sewing supplies, fabrics, beads, paints, yarn, stamps, paper, scrapbooking supplies etc.

The Crafts & Sewing department is located in the back in this store, but on the opposite side of the classic 90's layout most folks remember.
