Sunrise, Apollo Bay.
It feels like the cloud above, and it's reflection below, are gently cradling the sun.
Silent screams in my head
Keep me awake
I won't fall asleep
A motionless, paralyzed body
Lying helplessly, like a child in a cradle
So small
So fragile
Constant fight against powers greater than mine
Drains my will to live

Before anyone asks me, this isn't about what's going on inside my head, this about what's going on inside someone dear to me. Don't ask if I'm okay, this isn't about me.

This Centauria montana is cradled amongst the leaves of the day lilies yet to flower. I love these big cornflower type plants which fill the gap between Spring and Summer flowers.
Iconic Cradle Mountain, Tasmania with Dove Lake in the foreground. A stunning 4.6 km circuit but worth the torturous walk., bearing in mind I’m no spring chicken!
Cradle Mountain is synonymous with nature, wilderness and all things pristine. Wildlife is in abundance in this spectacular national park, giving opportunity to encounter Tasmanian devils, quolls, platypus, echidna, wombats and the highly inquisitive black currawong.
A very memorable climb to the top of Tasmania's iconic Cradle Mountain with the Launceston Walking Club in 1989. Kodachrome. Sorry about the colour cast which seems to be a scanning artefact not obvious on the slide.
This is a very old selfie. The reason I post this now is that the little baby, my youngest child, in the photo walked up to me the other day and I realized he is now taller than me. And I am fairly tall at 6’2”. This was our tiny premature baby who was born just under 5 pounds. This photo was taken very soon after he came home from the hospital. And right after I took this he peed all over me. 😂
Cradle song
Sleep, sleep, beauty bright,
Dreaming in the joys of night;
Sleep, sleep; in thy sleep
Little sorrows sit and weep.
Sweet babe, in thy face
Soft desires I can trace,
Secret joys and secret smiles,
Little pretty infant wiles.
As thy softest limbs I feel
Smiles as of the morning steal
O'er thy cheek, and o'er thy breast
Where thy little heart doth rest.
O the cunning wiles that creep
In thy little heart asleep!
When thy little heart doth wake,
Then the dreadful night shall break.

Spent a foggy afternoon playing with some photos, my nature romantic orientation needs to discharge ..... used a picture with the bridge from my friend Robert, added element from a painting by Carl Larsson.

The mountain which gives this National Park its name. From the left we have Little Horn (1355m), and after the cradle, Weindorfer's Tower, Smithies Peak (1527m) and then the summit of Cradle Mountain itself (1545m). It is the sixth highest mountain in Tasmania.
8 Image Panorama.. Amazing to see this on one of Australias iconic mountains. Cradle Mountain, Tasmania Australia

This is at the top Coastal Cradle sculpture at Memorial Park, White Rock Promenade.
The orb represents a drop of dew, supported by blades of grass.
I like it!
