Game of the Week features Ocean Lakes (12-0) and Oscar Smith (11-0) who meets for the fourth time in playoffs.
Ocean Lakes, the defending state champions motto is to go 1-0 and they look forward to that challenge. "We know what it feels like to go home and know what it's like to keep winning. Just play Dolphin football," said Sr. RB, Justin Smith.
Oscar Smith won state championships in 2008 and 2011. This year still undefeated but with plenty of games that came down to the wire. "Tough battles in the years past but we have to work for what we earned," said Sr. Center, Wayne Lee.
Last season in playoffs, the Dolphins won 49-28 over the Tigers. The game will be played this Friday, Nov. 27th at 7 p.m. at Oscar Smith.

Playing around with the little Rodenstock telephoto lens that I tried out on 4x10 (despite not having anywhere near the coverage to work on 4x10, much less 8x10) reminded me that I had another 4x5 telephoto lens. Recently (just looked it up, 2017, yikes) I picked up a Wollensak Telephoto 15" f/5.6 lens, mostly because I've found I really like Wollys for value. It was while I was still working full time, so I received it, noted it was on a Speed Graphic board, mounted it on my Speed Graphic, and noted that I'd have to mess around with the infinity stops to learn if I had enough bellows draw to use the lens. That was enough barrier to entry that I put the lens away, planning to get back to it sometime in the future.
Well, that time finally came. I was in the shop already to clean up from my last couple of projects and to put a bit of finish on the pull tab for the 8x10/4x10 half-lens-board, so while I was there, I grabbed the lens, pulled off the Graphic lens board (rolled edges style), and started making a Linhof-style board for it, figuring I could then use it in my Intrepid 4x5 or mount it in the new adapter for the 8x10. Extracting the lens from the board was a bit of a pain, as the flange is either seized to the barrel (my guess) or wasn't meant to be removed (possible) but I eventually managed it.
The reason I'm bothering is that this lens, which may or may not have been intended for aerial reconnaissance before WWII, was designed to cover both 4x5 and 5x7, and was reputed to cover 8x10 as well, and I wanted to see how close it came to that. So I did...
I was pleased that it came with a nice -blue filter in a robust case. The ruggedness of the barrel and filter mount supports the notion that it is ex-military.
