Perhaps the most outrageous stunt of the 2013 Australian Election is Dom's Election Party. It's a no-expense-spared, attention-to-detail political party where everyone who voted participates watching the coverage shouting at the TV, screaming for the nation! It's an Australian Tradition!

Thursday night. More than 400 literati mingled with Times Book Review editor Sam
Tanenhaus and execs Denise Warren and Alexis Buryk. Notable attendees
included the AAP’s Pat Schroeder; authors Janet Evanovich, James Atlas, Stephen J.
Cannell, Scott Turow and Tom Perotta; and publishing

What press coverage missed about the October 2025 No Kings protests was that they were serious and, in many ways, somber affairs. This project aimed to capture the gravity of the Washington, D.C., No Kings march against authoritarianism by memorializing the emotion of its participants. The photos also show that the protest against government overreach was itself monitored by the military.

I typically never shoot in broad day-light, but I figured this shot illustrates just how bright and hot it's been. Plus, I'm a little behind schedule...a shot of these two at the same location every month...
