What a gorgeous drive to my son's house yesterday. Everything was covered in fresh white snow. I couldn't believe that it stayed on the trees all day long and if we hadn't been babysitting it would have been an awesome day to get out for more photos. This is a walking trail that crosses the main road. I am not sure why there were car tracks on it and I hope someone plows it to make it more "walkable".

Pool Forge Covered Bridge

This was taken last summer in Connecticut. Didn't post it at the time because the graffiti bugged me, and my attempts at removing it in Photoshop were less than stellar. However, since then, I have decided it's not so bad for the photo after all.

This bridge was originally located northwest of Marshall, Indiana. It was relocated to Billie Creek Village in 1979. Unlike most of the covered bridges in Parke County, this bridge is named after the Beeson family who lived nearby (most are named after the the town they are located in or the river they cross.). This bridge also survived two different arson attempts in 1979 before it was relocated.

Also note this bridge does not have the famous words "Cross this bridge at a walk" as most other covered bridges in Parke County. This is most likely due to it being located on private property and not passable by vehicular traffic.
