Visitors queuing to enter the Musée de Louvre via the once controversial I.M Pei pyramid (1988).
This structure is one of the ‘grandes oeuvres’ of former French president François Mitterrand. It’s a glass / metal construction with 603 rhombus-shaped and 70 triangular glass segments. Dimensions: a height of 21.6 metres and a base with sides of 34 metres. Engineering: Nicolet Chartrand Knoll & Rice Francis Ritchie.

Blue hour at Palais du Louvre - Paris, France 2014..... Palais du Louvre is the former palace of the kings of France – now the largest museum in the world(Louvre Museum) covering almost 10,000 years of history! The palace is divided into three wings: Richelieu, Sully and Denon.
Same year as the "Vendôme" image where I took my tripod around this magnificent city shooting pano's. Waiting for the perfect balance between day and night and searching for symmetry.
Where else more perfect then at cour Napoleon...

J’écoute cette chanson de U2 à longueur de journée en chantant à tue-tête et en sautant comme un cabri à travers la maison. Lol
I listen to this song by U2 all day long, singing my head off and jumping in the house like a kid. lol
