Friday Photos #fp2012 theme this week is "Countryside". I am surrounded by countryside so will be concentrating on the elements you find In the Countryside. For us it is trees, fields, hills, hedgerows, sheep, and thistles ;)

Highway 59 that leads north of Miles City Montana is one of the most desolate places I have driven. On it are a handful of "towns" that usually have nothing more than a post office or a church in them.

On the way back from Piha, I asked Tash to stop so I could take a picture of the beautiful countryside. It was here that I met Louie the Bohemian who was walking up the road. He was a wonderful old gentleman who told me how he was kicked out of Bohemia after the war and came to New Zealand with a buddy who had family there. He was too shy to have his photo taken.

When we got back to town, we had Burger Fuel for dinner (mmmm... kumara!) and saw The Stepford Wives. Then we had coffee with Tash's friends Jo and Frances.
