Barbed wire, also known as barb wire, occasionally corrupted as bobbed wire or bob wire, is a type of steel fencing wire constructed with sharp edges or points arranged at intervals along the strands. It is used to construct inexpensive fences and is used atop walls surrounding secured property. It is also a major feature of the fortifications in trench warfare (as a wire obstacle).
Michael Kelly Invented the First Barbed Wire Fencing
The first wire fences (before the invention of the barb) consisted of only one strand of wire, which was constantly broken by the weight of cattle pressing against it.
Michael Kelly made a significant improvement to wire fencing, he twisted two wires together to form a cable for barbs - the first of its kind. Known as the "thorny fence," Michael Kelly's double-strand design made fences stronger, and the painful barbs made cattle keep their distance.
Joseph Glidden Was Considered the King of the Barb.
Joseph Glidden's design made barbed wire more effective, he invented a method for locking the barbs in place, and invented the machinery to mass-produce the wire.
Living patterns of the nomadic Native Americans were radically altered. Further squeezed from lands they had always used, they began calling barbed wire "the Devil's rope."
After its invention, barbed wire was widely used during wars, to protect people and property from unwanted intrusion. Military usage of barbed wire formally dates to 1888, when British military manuals first encouraged its use.
During the Spanish-American War, Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders chose to defend their camps with the help of barbed fencing. In turn-of-the-century South Africa, five-strand fences were linked to blockhouses sheltering British troops from the encroachment of Boer commandos. During World War I, barbed wire was used as a military weapon.
Even now, barbed wire is widely used to protect and safeguard military installation, to establish territorial boundaries, and for prisoner confinement.
I found this barbed wire along with the male Blue Dasher Dragonfly perched on it, at a Polk County park along Lake Kissimmee. Polk County, Florida.

She was his prized possession. His pride and joy. His greatest achievement and success. So when her sensors showed corruption he immediately brought her in to assess the damage. How did they break through her security system? How did they hack her? Well, first things first...we have to restore that perfect body of hers.
Principios de la práctica de las devociones diarias
(1) Cuando se revela el propio carácter corrupto, hay que hacer devociones. Es preciso hacer introspección para conocerse a uno mismo según las palabras de Dios, y afrontar la manifestación del propio carácter corrupto.
(2) La introspección devocional exige aceptar el escrutinio de Dios. Solo así es posible abrir el corazón de par en par a Dios y, de ese modo, recibir el esclarecimiento del Espíritu Santo y aprender de los propios errores.
(3) Es preciso reflexionar, a la luz de las palabras de Dios, sobre si la senda que se sigue es la correcta, sobre si se está cumpliendo satisfactoriamente con el deber y sobre cuántas motivaciones e intenciones propias alteran su desempeño.
(4) Se deben examinar y analizar los propios errores y transgresiones en el cumplimiento del deber, así como los progresos y logros. Esa es la única práctica que genera progresos en la vida.
Las palabras relevantes de Dios:
La fe en Dios requiere de una vida espiritual normal, que es la base para experimentar las palabras de Dios y entrar en la realidad. ¿Equivale a una “vida espiritual normal” toda vuestra práctica actual de oraciones, acercarse a Dios, cantar himnos, alabanzas, meditación, y de reflexionar sobre las palabras de Dios? Ninguno de vosotros parece saberlo. Una vida espiritual normal no se limita a prácticas como orar, cantar himnos, participar en la vida de la iglesia y comer y beber de las palabras de Dios. Más bien, implica vivir una nueva y dinámica vida espiritual. Lo que importa no es cómo se practica, sino qué fruto da la práctica. La mayoría de la gente cree que una vida espiritual normal implica necesariamente orar, cantar himnos, comer y beber de las palabras de Dios o reflexionar sobre ellas, sin que importe que tales prácticas tengan algún efecto o conduzcan a un verdadero entendimiento. Estas personas se centran en seguir procedimientos superficiales sin preocuparse por los resultados; viven en los rituales religiosos, no dentro de la iglesia, y ni mucho menos son personas del reino. Al orar, cantar himnos, y comer y beber de las palabras de Dios solo siguen reglas, lo hacen por obligación y para estar al día con las tendencias, no por voluntad propia ni de corazón. Por mucho que estas personas oren o canten, sus esfuerzos no darán ningún fruto, ya que solo practican las reglas y los rituales de la religión, no las palabras de Dios. Se centran solo en darle importancia a cómo practican, y tratan las palabras de Dios como reglas a seguir. Estas personas no están poniendo en práctica las palabras de Dios, solo están satisfaciendo la carne y actuando para que otras personas las vean. Todas estas reglas y rituales religiosos tienen un origen humano; no provienen de Dios. Dios no sigue reglas ni está sujeto a ninguna ley. En su lugar, Él hace cosas nuevas cada día, y así logra una obra práctica. Lo mismo sucede con la gente de la Iglesia de las Tres Autonomías, que se limitan a prácticas como asistir a diario a los servicios matutinos, ofrecer oraciones por la tarde y oraciones de gratitud antes de las comidas, y a dar gracias por todo; hagan lo que hagan y por mucho tiempo que lo hagan, no tendrán la obra del Espíritu Santo. Cuando las personas viven entre reglas y anclan sus corazones a métodos de práctica, el Espíritu Santo no puede obrar, ya que sus corazones están ocupados por reglas y nociones humanas. Por lo tanto, Dios es incapaz de intervenir y obrar en ellas, y solo pueden seguir viviendo bajo el control de las leyes. Tales personas nunca podrán recibir el elogio de Dios.
