Blooming corkscrew hazel / Korkenzieherhasel (Corylus avellana contorta)
in Botanical Garden, Frankfurt
This is a corkscrew hazelnut tree in a nearby community garden. I love photographing it because of the wonky branches. Unfortunately, the city cut much of it down, so it's only about 4 ft. high now.
Taken with Pentacon AV 80mm f2.8.
This lens creates the most amazing bokeh :)

Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary in Naples, FL
Today, a boardwalk of a little over 3 km (1.9 mi) length provides walking access through (actually 'over') pine flatwoods, wet prairie, pond cypress, bald cypress, and marsh ecosystems within the sanctuary.
The sanctuary is a 'gateway site' for the Great Florida Birding Trail. It is an important breeding area for the endangered wood stork and other wetland birds. (Wikipedia)

Der Radabstand ist so ausgelegt, dass die Zähne ineinander greifen, und somit die Drehbewegung des einen Zahnrades auf das andere übertragen wird.
The wheelbase is designed so that the teeth mesh with each other, and thus the rotational movement of one gear is transmitted to the other.
I wish you a good start to the new week. Happy MM

A corkscrew that I have used for many years, although it is used less now because most of the time I get screw caps. For Macro Monday: Screw and my POTD.
Bring on the wine! This is an oversized, humongous, jumbo, enormous corkscrew. Order up the magnums.
This is one of two huge, titanic, corkscrews flanking the entrance to a winery in Irvington, Virginia.
Disclaimer: not to be used on boxes of wine!
Mon tire bouchon n'a pas beaucoup servi mais il est bien utile lorsque des invités arrivent avec une bouteille à déguster. #Macro #MacroMondays #Tool
