◯感想 メモ - SD1 merrill
■長時間露光で撮り続けてたら3~4時間しか電池がもたない。
2個は確実に必要、メイン機で使用するなら3個無いと不安。
5Dmk2の1/2以下かも。
■ライブビューが無くて夜景が撮り難い、構図も大変。
でもがんばれば撮れる。
■写真撮り終わった後赤いライトがずっと点滅してて書き込み速度が遅過ぎる。
露光時間が長ければ長いほど書き込みに時間がかかるみたい。
長過ぎでイライラしてiPhoneで時間計ったら最長で58秒もかかった。
5Dmk2だと1秒もしないで書き込みが終わるCFカードで。
■フィルムカメラより簡単で普通のデジタル一眼より難しいカメラという印象。
■シャッター音が拍子抜けします、DP2と同じ音(ｶﾁｬ)。
■最近のカメラにしてはノイズがひどい
■グリップは5Dmk2より深くて持ちやすい
■ファインダー覗いて構図確認してるとなぜかたまに
画面全体が動く（これは使ってる人じゃないと伝わらないかも、バグ？？）
■現像ソフトのSPPが重すぎて落ちたり固まったり
Corei7,2.2Ghz,メモリ8GBのMBPでもきつい。
その分画像が半端ないのでここは我慢。
CanonのDPPみたいに一括書き出しができないしとにかく時間がかかる。
Rawデータに直接編集情報を記録できないから面倒くさいので
DPPみたいな仕様になって欲しい。
■シフトできるレンズが欲しい、ちょっと無理やりシフトするやり方を後でやってみる
■旅行用でこの高倍率レンズにしましたが使いやすかったです、小さいし3万ちょいで価格も安め。
四隅は暗くなりますが描写も特に文句はなく、
開放であまり撮ること無いし明るいレンズじゃなくてもおｋ。
bokeh写真は基本撮らないのでボケの描写はよくわかりません。
後でsigmaの他のレンズも買い増しします。
■色々とオーバースペックなんだなーとも感じました。

BACKSTORY: Building my new computer! We decided to name it Thailog. Thailog ("Goliath" spelled backwards) is the evil twin of Goliath from the cartoon Gargoyles. Carolyn's computer is named after Goliath, so it just makes sense that Clint's computer is the evil twin of Carolyn's computer. PREFACE
"SHADHINOTA is My Cause for the 40th Celebration of BANGLADESH Independence. The land, the mighty rivers and the natural beauty makes Bangladesh a land of unparalleled splendor and magnificence. Bangladesh was liberated after a prolonged war of Independence the declaration of which was given on 26th MARCH 1971. One of the worst genocides Genocide in history took place at the behest of an autocratic regime in the name of Political stability spearheaded by the then Pakistan President Yah ya Khan. After 9 months of Liberation water and the sacrifice of 3 million lives Victory came. In addition to the loss of lives countless others were rendered homeless, the infrastructure including roads and bridges and factories lay in ruins. The people of Bangladesh have shown time and again how resilient they are. After each and every disaster, natural or man-made the people have again stood up and started all over again from scratch.
My Effort here is to pay tribute to the valiant sons of the soil and the ‘die hard’ attitude of a people who can still smile in the face of adversity however great it may be. I plan to make a collage of images that represent the lives of the people of Bangladesh. I encourage you to upload a photo each day till I have a total of 40 images for the Cause SHADHINOTA in the group Frame BANGLADESH"

CPU cooler installed on top of CPU, with thermal paste correctly applied, and fan hooked up to motherboard. Possibly the hardest amd most physically stressful step of the whole thing. There seems to be very little standardization on how you attach these things to the CPU socket, and the attachments themselves are always super-difficult to work, because they are designed to not damage the socket. Plastic screws that you can barely tell which way to turn, and only turn 90 degrees when inserted a specific way. Crap like that. And you can barely see what you are doing, due to the fan being larger than the socket it is attaching to. It's super-painful.

CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer I30 CPU Cooler: $34.98 from SuperBiiz.com ... After having to upgrade CPU coolers TWICE IN A MONTH with my old computer Hades, due to cat hairs, I knew not to bother skimping out this time. I want straight for the more expensive, more large, $40 aftermarket cooler. Unfortunately, it was so large it blocked a RAM slot, and due to the way RAM works in this motherboard, that means not being able to use 2 RAM slots. But my motherboard has 8 RAM slots. I just wish I hadn't bought 4G SIMMS, because 6 * 4G = 24G, and being maxed out at 24G RAM kinda sucks when I regularly break 30G of actual-memory-used. If I could have used those 2 extra slots, I'd be up to 32G of RAM. If I had bought 8G SIMMS, I could have gotten 24G of RAM, and then upgraded up to 48G. But I'm stuck with 24G, and not wanting to spend $300 just to get to 32G (by virtue of having to re-buy all-8G SIMMS). BACKSTORY: Carolyn decided now that Clint had a job, the time had come to replace her computer of 9 years, Magic. So, she started spec'ing out computer parts for a new computer that would become Goliath.
Carolyn built Magic in 2003 when Clint got her a motherboard for Christmas. She kept her old computer, Mist, which as far as we know, is still alive to this day (and was originally a 286, then a 486, then a Pentium 3). Anyway, Magic had tried to die a couple of years ago, but since Clint didn't have a job at the time, we decided it was best to repair rather than buying a whole new computer back then. So Carolyn found an exact replica of Magic's motherboard on Ebay and replaced the motherboard and the power supply. Magic has been limping along ever since.
But now it is time for Goliath. Goliath came into being at the beginning of November and was up and running by November 13th.
SPECS:
CASE: Antec Twelve Hundred V3 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Unbeatable Gaming Case ($160) (**10** frickin' drive bays!).
CPU: Intel Core i7 (i7-3770) Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) Quad-Core (LGA1155 socket, 4 cores, 8MB cache, 77W power consumption) ($300). CPUBenchmark score: 9480. For comparison, Clint's computer Hades that everyone watches movies on only rates 4163 (and 1727 before upgrade).
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TX (850W) ($140) (5yr warranty)
MOTHERBOARD: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 ($180). 8 SATA ports! Onboard optical digital audio out so her computer is backup for playing music. Onboard video better than my pre-upgrade videocard (Radeon x1950) that Clint tried to give her, so her computer is backup for playing video. (However, the onboard video can only mine at 100MH/s, so it is useless for cryptocurrency mining.) Onboard network.
RAM: 16GB: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series (2x8GB, 240-Pin) ($86) (CAS 9-9-9-9)
HARDDRIVE: SSD: 128G: Crucial M4 ($103) (3yr warranty). Plus all the drives that used to be in MAGIC, before MAGIC crashed.
TOTAL COST: $969.
Ultimately it ended up with a coupld of SATA controller cards, as well as a bluray-burner. We've now burned over 200 blurays.
In other news, Clint decided to get a CPU for Magic for Carolyn's birthday, and she ended up killing Magic trying to install it. Carolyn had also bought a camera from a yardsale and needed an SD card for it. She had one sittingin her cart ever since the summer so it finally got bought. The yardsale camera turned out to suck, but our friend Chris Z gave us his old camera, so this SD card came in handy for that.

BACKSTORY: Carolyn decidednow that Clint had a job, the time had come to replace her computer of 9 years, Magic. So, she started spec'ing out computer parts for a new computer that would become Goliath.
Carolyn built Magic in 2003 when Clint got her a motherboard for Christmas. She kept her old computer, Mist, which as far as we know, is still alive to this day (and was originally a 286, then a 486, then a Pentium 3). Anyway, Magic had tried to die a couple of years ago, but since Clint didn't have a job at the time, we decided it was best to repair rather than buying a whole new computer back then. So Carolyn found an exact replica of Magic's motherboard on Ebay and replaced the motherboard and the power supply. Magic has been limping along ever since.
But now it is time for Goliath. Goliath came into being at the beginning of November and was up and running by November 13th.
SPECS:
CASE: Antec Twelve Hundred V3 Black Steel ATX Full Tower Unbeatable Gaming Case ($160) (**10** frickin' drive bays!).
CPU: Intel Core i7 (i7-3770) Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) Quad-Core (LGA1155 socket, 4 cores, 8MB cache, 77W power consumption) ($300). CPUBenchmark score: 9480. For comparison, Clint's computer Hades that everyone watches movies on only rates 4163 (and 1727 before upgrade).
POWER SUPPLY: Corsair Enthusiast Series CMPSU-850TX (850W) ($140) (5yr warranty)
MOTHERBOARD: ASRock Z77 Extreme6 ($180). 8 SATA ports! Onboard optical digital audio out so her computer is backup for playing music. Onboard video better than my pre-upgrade videocard (Radeon x1950) that Clint tried to give her, so her computer is backup for playing video. (However, the onboard video can only mine at 100MH/s, so it is useless for cryptocurrency mining.) Onboard network.
RAM: 16GB: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series (2x8GB, 240-Pin) ($86) (CAS 9-9-9-9)
HARDDRIVE: SSD: 128G: Crucial M4 ($103) (3yr warranty). Plus all the drives that used to be in MAGIC, before MAGIC crashed.
TOTAL COST: $969.
Ultimately it ended up with a coupld of SATA controller cards, as well as a bluray-burner. We've now burned over 200 blurays.
In other news, Clint decided to get a CPU for Magic for Carolyn's birthday, and she ended up killing Magic trying to install it.
