The Orphan Works Act of 2006" is said to be a "popular" bill in the House (H. R.5889) Senate (S.2913) thomas.loc.gov (fill in the bill number to get info)
If what I read is true, then ALL our photos on Flickr will be liable to be labeled an "ORPHAN WORK" and someone else will now own the photo. This gives several private corporations who will act as the new registries to take over ownership of the copywrite unless we not only place a © on each photo, but that we also register each photo with each one of these registries.
This means there will be a registration fee, not only for each photo, but also for each photo in each one of the registries.
This applies to any photo sent through the internet — even if it is only by e-mail. According to the article, this also includes every sketch, painting, photo, sculpture, drawing, video, song and every other type of creative endeavor. All of it is at risk!
Here is a very comprehensive article: "Mind Your Business: You Will Lose All The Rights to Your Own Art "

Thanks for the great UI Facebook. I would like to Disable Deprecated Permission methods. So, I guess I should enable disabling them? Or should I just Disable them?

Copywriting task done for Lund university. The university wanted to create a postcard to tell the parents of potential students to come to an informational meeting, and hired me to do the copywriting.
Seems like the lost art of good copywriting can be found at Uncle Frank's BBQ.
"Five large all beef sausages yielding almost reluctantly to the fork, yet retaining a sealed-in juiciness. Served sliced."
"Huge, meaty rib bones slow smoked to the right amount of tooth-resistance."
I do, however, take issue with "Half succulent smoked chicken burnished a deep brown and begs to be eaten with your fingers." The way the sentence is structured, it seems like the chicken is only half succulent. It would have been better as "Half of a succulently smoked chicken." or perhaps, "A half of a succulently smoked chicken..." What are your re-writes? Put them in the comments?

Looks like the badgers were already here when we put peanut butter sandwiches out at 10.20 p.m. But they came back for a midnight feast.
The 6th October 2018 is National Badger Day.
This is a regular view of the snowthrower. Jen was kind enough to stand next to it to show the scale of the monster.
