A single light pole in a dark empty Pittsburgh, PA parking lot late at night with bridges and overpasses behind it. Pittsburgh is a sleepy town, it's pretty much dead after 9 PM. That really surprised me!

Three bison (or buffalo as they are known locally) dash across the open prairie in front of me on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation in Montana.
Unlike the buffalo at Yellowstone, these are virtually wild and very unaccustomed to people. Getting a close-up was difficult to say the least.
