Lights from a nearby sports complex seem to loom in the distance over a cornfield in early morning sun.
A piece of driftwood on the shore at Harris Beach State Park in Brookings Oregon with a "420" carved in it, presumably in reference to cannabis.
I never understood why they called it that. I got so much information from it over the years, especially from Gordon Shumway.
But now I know what my parents were referring to when they called it the Idiot box.

Time to start again in the rice paddies. Harvest is over, and the typical method of clearing the fields to be ready for the next crop is to burn the leftovers down to the soil.
