[Las Torbellinas, 30 de Marzo, Campeonas copa Soy Joven 2016]
La noche del sábado 10 de diciembre en la cancha de uso múltiple de la ciudadela 30 de marzo de esta ciudad, se llegó a feliz término el primer campeonato de indor Fútbol que estuvo bajo la organización de la dirección de Desarrollo Social y coordinada por Deportes del GAD Municipal de Chone.
El evento deportivo que tuvo la acertada participación de 40 barrios de la localidad, entre masculino y femenino, disputaron la gran final entre Las Torbellinas (30 de marzo) y Ciudadela Hidalgo en damas, torneo que lo ganó el representativo de la 30 de marzo por 3 goles a 1.
En varones los dos representativos de la ciudadela 30 de marzo 1, y 2, se enfrentaron entre sí en un reñido encuentro que en primera instancia lo ganaba 30 de marzo 1, y que al final perdieron el torneo por 4 tantos a 2.
De esta forma el primer campeonato interbarrial de la copa Soy Joven tiene a sus primeros campeones; en damas, Las Torbellinas, campeonas en damas, y 30 de marzo 2 campeones en varones. Vice campeones en damas la ciudadela Hidalgo, y en varones la ciudadela 30 de marzo 1.
El Alcalde del cantón, Deyton Alcívar y su esposa Genny Macías, hicieron la entrega de los respectivos trofeos, Jaime Zambrano, coordinador de deportes, agradeció a los jugadores y dirigentes participantes en el torneo por la perseverancia y constancia en el torneo.

Se premió el Fair Play, a la valla menos vencida y a los goleadores. También se entregó una placa homenaje a la familia Lázaro. On the way home from work today, Police blocked the opposite direction of the Interstate. They were everywhere with guns drawn. I quickly took this shot from my car. It turned out that someone shot a Chesapeake, Virginia Police Officer with an AK47. The suspect died. The Police Officer recovered, thank God.
