On Friday, August 18, 2017, City of Prineville (CoP) 985 was sitting in the CoP's yard in Prineville, Oregon.

CoP 985 is a GP20m. Reportedly, it was built in 1954 as Milwaukee Road (MILW) GP9 217, serial number 20037. It was upgraded to a GP20m 2406 before becoming MILW 985.

Cops & Barbers held an informal recognition dinner to celebrate Greenville Police Chief Mark Holtzman's recent retirement announcement at Mission BBQ on Tuesday, July 5. Chief Holtzman's support has contributed greatly to the Cops & Barbers program's success.

Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune is the founder of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. The statue is located in Lincoln National Park in Washington, D.C. It's the logo of the Sacramento Valley Section's COP Workshop.For the past eight years, the workshop has been held on the 4th Saturday in October in Sacramento, CA.

COP Workshop is designed for adults offering them lifestyle skills to reduce the number of African Americans growing up going to CA State Prisons. In CA, African Americans are 7% of the population, but 38% of the prison population. COP seeks to be "Difference Maker" in changing this outcome.

There are activites for children 5-12 when accompanied with an adults attending the workshop.

For most part, all of the speakers volunteer and are professionals in their disciplines.

I found myself behind a police car at traffic lights the other day, when I noticed a "Cops are Tops" sticker adhered to the back bumper. "Hmm," I thought to myself, "Self praise is definitely no recommendation."
