Copper was a Cocker-poo. Half Cocker Spaniel, half-poodle. He was a little crazy at times.
He was the one who would rev himself up to run through the electric fence.
Small Copper Butterfly on a fence at Hilliers Gardens, Hampshire.
An attractive open country species of butterfly, flying from May to September in two or three broods.
Beautiful Small Copper seen this morning. Lovely sunny day and just right for a walk around the local nature reserve in Sussex.

An attempt to weave Habu Textiles copper filament around found cat whiskers. Whiskers ended up being too slick and copper weft slid right off. Oh, and the thickness of the filament? I measured approx. 20 wraps = 1mm
Copper Basin Railway train, running alongside the Gila River, serving the copper mines in the Copper Basin of Arizona.
Part of the Great Open Cast on Parys Mountain. Copper was mined here during the 1700's and 1800's when this was the world's largest source of copper. At that time one of the uses of copper was to clad the wooden hulls of war ships. The colours in the rocks are amazing, especially on a sunny day - a wonderful landscape. I was lucky enough to grow up near here and this was a great place to explore when we were young. If I'd been born 200 years earlier I probably would have worked here, one of the "Copper Ladies" breaking up copper-rich rocks with a hammer.
Bold and beautiful! Drawing inspiration from the warm tones of the autumn season, I have selected large bronze and copper colored beads to create this statement necklace. The satin metallic finish and crinkle texture takes them to an even higher level of sophistication! Between each bead is an intricately detailed, gold toned spacer. Because of the substantial size of the components of this necklace, I have reinforced the nylon cord on which they are strung four times for extra strength. This glowing necklace secures with an antique-finish copper trigger clasp.
Lightweight earrings made with delicate copper leaf shapes, accented with czech glass and copper filgree beads.
This necklace is one of my own designs with faceted glass beads and very small glass seed beads.
It measures about 18" long.
The center 10 (1/2" copper iris flowers) measure about 6" and the pendant with a Amber Swarovski in the center hangs about 2".
The necklace chain is a beautiful blue iris, bronze and hematite seed bead mix. I used a sparkle gold lined crystal for the accent bead.
The closure is a handmade flower button and loop style.
This is a metal free necklace.
