Copenhagen by night on a quiet Monday. The Royal Opera House is on the left, whereas you find Magasin, a major department store on the right.
The location is Kongen's Nytorv, which means literally the King's New Square.
The Kastrup Sea Baths, situated off-shore in the Øresund Sound, has great views of the Saltholm Island and Sweden.
This is an architectural pearl and a truly magical place that offers good swimming opportunities with protection against the wind.

Rundetårn Copenhagen Denmark
No lift, no stairs!
Rundetårn (The Round Tower) is a 17th-century tower in Copenhagen. Instead of stairs, a 7.5-turn spiral ramp forms the only access way to the tower top observatory as well as the Library Hall and the Bell-Ringer's Loft.
This design was chosen to allow a horse and carriage to reach the library and observatory. So you can go rollerblading to the top of the tower.

Copenhagen Court House. A modern style court of justice, Hof- og Stadsretten, was introduced in Denmark, specifically for Copenhagen, by Johann Friedrich Struensee in 1771. Located in Viborg and Copenhagen, two High Courts were introduced as courts of appeal in 1805. It was for this emerging legal system that a new courthouse was needed.
In the Great Fire of 1795, Copenhagen's city hall, located between Nytorv and Gammeltorv, was among the many buildings lost to the flames. It was the second consecutive city hall at that spot to meet this fate; the first building, built in 1679 at the same site, had been lost in the Fire of 1728.
After the fire, it was decided to build a combined city hall and courthouse at Nytorv, at a site previously occupied by the Royal Orphanage built in 1728. The project also included a jailhouse. Christian Frederik Hansen, the leading Danish architect of the time, was charged with the commission. Construction started in 1803 and was completed in 1816. The project was delayed by scarcity of building materials as well as the British bombardment of the city in 1807 in the Battle of Copenhagen. Materials from the demolition of Hirschholm Palace were used for the building.

Copenhagen is for bike riders. Watch out, thou Pedestrian! Inspired by www.flickr.com/photos/a350wg/ 😉
Lined on both sides with colourful houses, this 300m long canal, known as the New Harbour, was dug by soldiers between 1671 and 1673 and was designed to enable ships to deliver merchandise into the centre of Copenhagen. Today stylish yachts and old wooden boats are moored at many of the quays. Filled with bars, cafés and restaurants, this place is now one of the city's most well-known districts and is especially popular on warm summer evenings. It is difficult to believe that the area was once notorious for its seedy pubs and brothels packed with sailors.
