I got to join a ship called the RRS James Cook from England. They needed a person onboard to speak Icelandic in order to get insurance for the gear. I gladly offered my services in exchange for a great cruise.
Taken in 2005. Cook is a ghost town on the Nullarbor Plain and a passing point, and stopping point for the Indian Pacific train. This is on the world's longest section of straight track at 297 miles long
