The rugged landscape is starting to look a little tiring to us. At least I'm able to eat enough to keep me going.

Nihayet Nisan ayı sonunda İstanbul'a varırlar, ondan sonra İzmir'i ziyaret ederler.

Cook Out (2,997 square feet)

4300 South Laburnum Avenue, Laburnum Park Shopping Center, Richmond, VA

Opened in January 2014; originally 1989-built Jefferson National Bank, later Wachovia (1998-fall 2008), MoneyMax Title Loans (2009-2012)

It ended up being another KFC-less day, as their location in Glen Lea Centre not only had their doors locked but it seemed that no employees were on site at all! I instead drove a few miles down the road to the Laburnum Park Cook Out, whose dining room has only been reopened since March, if I'm not mistaken. The restaurant occupies an old bank building, but in regards to layout it manages to resemble most purpose-built Cook Out locations of the era, such as this one. The dining room is spread out horizontally across the front end, with restrooms to the right, and unlike their purpose-built locations it has a drop ceiling. All original decorative elements are still in place, only replacing the chairs within the last three-four years. While KFC may have been my intention for the day I'd been wanting to visit this Cook Out anyways so no harm done!

Description: Group on Lookout Mountain in the Hollywood Hills, November 23, 1913. [Unfortunately, this remarkable place was very short lived. On October 27, 1918 the Lookout Mountain Inn was totally destroyed in a fire. As the L.A. Times explains, the blaze was blamed on "glowing embers left behind by a party of boys having a sausage bake in the Sherman foothills”.] [Same group as in Cook 159.]
