I will be selling these custom minifigs at the Lego Convention in Adelaide over the Easter weekend. I hope people like my customs enough to buy them. As I have said previously, I don't make much money from selling them, but I very much enjoy the process and it helps fund my various hobbies.

In the Summer of 1986, the NHRS, NMRA and Mass Bay Railroad Enthusiasts hosted the Minuteman Convention in the Greater Boston area.
This convention included many different events and fan trips. One of the fan trips was operated by the Bay Colony RR over then freight only Plymouth Branch from South Braintree to Plymouth and return (with a side trip over the 3+ mile long West Hanover Secondary Track, which branched off at Abington & has long since been abandoned). At the time, these lines provided service to at least 11 consignees, with ttraffic featuring mostly building materials, coal, propane and beer. Currently, there are no freight customers left and the branch is a part of the MBTA commuter rail network.
This photo was taken at the end of the line in Plymouth as the passengers were detraining for a photo runby, prior to running around and returning north. The consist was BCLR Alco S2 #1052 and four coaches.

Fairport convention...What we did on our holiday.
What we did...was Fairport conventions second LP, and the first to include the presence of Sandy Denny. Recorded in 1968, a real mixture of musical styles and a variety of writers. Folk, Blues, Cajun, Medieval and country are all to be heard here.
The albums cover has an interesting story..."we were playing one of our many university gigs at Essex university. We were given a classroom as a dressing room, which was quite common in those days. While we were waiting to go on, some members, probably Martin and Sandy, started to do a caricature of the band on the blackboard and then it grew and grew. It's quite elaborate. All the knobs on the amps, the names, the voltage wires. So we must have been waiting to go on stage some time. And we left it and went onstage. shortly afterwards we were talking about about the need to come up with a cover for our new album, and someone said "why dont we have that thing on the blackboard?" And so hastily Essex university was rung and asked,"is that blackboard drawing still in place? Has anyone wiped it off yet?" We were told "no" so a photographer was rushed down there and it was photographed...it was literally an organic creation done on the spur of the moment.
